Jeff loomis at 17 was insane. Look up Wisconsin guitar wars. Also Jason becket writing altitudes at 15 is insanity. I love dime and he's the reason I play guitar but he was by no means the pinnacle of young guitarists.

It’s 2024, and I still choked up watching this. The boys are really coming into their own. Pantera will totally domination the metal scene in a few months. It’s so hard to fathom that Dime and Vinny aren’t here. Miss you boys, with love and totally respect.

Hey man! Clint Barker, bass player from Defcon here...We opened that night and I can still remember the drunken madness..lol..I think that was the night that Darrell and Phil came in with a couple of black eyes from getting into a fight before the show, not with each other 😂 Loved Disciple, great band! Hope all is well 👊

Seen them 7 times, the first time in a small club in Nashville,Club 1000, just before Vulgar was released. The last time at Starwood in Antioch,TN with White Zombie, supporting Far Beyond Driven. There will never be anything like a Pantera show with Vinnie, Rex, Dime and Phil. Pure Muscle and all out fun.

Just think. Just a few months away “Cowboys From Hell” would be released and the metal landscape would be changed forever. The transition from glam to groove was such a welcome treat. I’m very fortunate to see the boys every time they came to the Philly area, and got to meet and hang with them numerous times. I really miss Dime and Vinny. I know they’re looking down and smiling at the numerous fans who got left behind.

Incredible footage! Amazing performance! However, I wonder if fans of the glam rock/heavy metal Pantera felt alienated with this performance. I'm curious about this. My best guess is that the majority of the fans accepted Pantera's new sound and loved it. However, I'm quite sure there were a few detractors who absolutely loathed the new sound and even stopped supporting them. Heck, I'm sure there had to be a little amount of fans who stopped supporting Pantera after Terry Glaze left the band. I'm quite sure there were ex-fans. Anyone know for sure? I'm genuinely interested.
