If you're saying that in relation to how active the crowd is, then you're sort of right, but there's also a lot of venues that don't appreciate it and will stop the show until people calm down, then you also have to think there are older people that go to these shows who are in no shape to do it, as well as younger kids to top it off.
@rubungadoi5 жыл бұрын
It is definitely pretty sad seeing so many people watching a show through their phone camera. I understand that older fans can't move like they used to, but it sure sucks seeing 3 out of 1,000 people moving around and having fun like the crowd in this. Nowadays the other 997 who aren't jumping are glued in a mindless trance to their phone, no matter what the occasion is.
@rubungadoi5 жыл бұрын
@@FalloutGuitarist That's pretty sad that places will actually stop people from enjoying themselves, at least if nothing serious is happening that is. Personally, I thought they only got better over time. I really like each different era of Pantera starting when Phil joined the band. Even their first "Power Metal" album with Phil (the only other place he does the shrieking high pitched vocals aside from CFH) has some pretty cool moments. They were clearly riding the corny "glam metal" trend of the 80's at that point, but they still kicked ass and brought the intensity during the live shows. Cowboys From Hell is definitely where it all came together, but after they found their own unique style, it seemed like they only got heavier and more extreme with each album and I was loving all of it. They seemed unstoppable.

Those were the days when you could go to a show and literally be on stage with the bands... the adrenaline you would have trying to headbang beside Dime would be insane
@daBEAGLE10174 жыл бұрын
Too bad fans were able to get onstage even tho I'll never regret my times I did so. RIP Dime

Never got to see Pantera at Joe's with a crowd, or Phil. Every time I went there there was a handful of people and they played a ton of Metallica songs. It was still epic, sitting on the stage with a pitcher of beer watching Pantera, it gets no better.

Sitting at home...tripping balls...watching the greatest metal I have ever heard and hoping my wife doesn't wake up....never knew how much I would miss this band...I'm so thankful I had the pleasure to see them.....but nothing like the beginning.....Texas metal!.....ps..my wife is waking!

pretty sure if people had phones in 1990 most of them would be filming on this vid. I agree that its a pretty shit practice but its not the people that changed
@jeremyjames16592 жыл бұрын
I doubt it. They'd be too busy in the pit, dancing, or head banging. Concerts were more hands on back then lol. Pussy kids today couldn't handle it.

Man, this brings back the memories of seeing them at the Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City somewhere around 90...91. Those shows were INSANE. Everybody knew the band was going to be huge. Pantera wasn't just a band, they were a force of nature.

That was December of 91 man ! We road tripped from Fort Worth to go see them there ! They did lots of gigs in the 80's here at Joe's Garage and some epic ones at The Basement in Dallas too !

This was every weekend in 88 and 89 either the basement or Joe's Garage this was the scene and if you were fortunate to experience it you got to experience the band on a different level I remember the night they played medicine man for the first time at Joe's we have been listening to them practice it for weeks at the jam room in Pantego it was one hell of an experience my favorite thing to do is try to beat the band to the basement from Jose on a Saturday night and be able to order a Kamikaze before the band got there Good Times..
