My wife just got me this guitar for my bday. I love everything about it. Looks , ergonomics, sounds etc... It will go from crispy clean to brown sound with no issues.. I've been a fender guy all my life but this is my second Godin guitar already. I also own a Multiac.

I have one of these , its great. Winchester Brown. Excellent tone and versatility. Well made instrument. Godin brings awesome value with excellent tone woods and superb craftsmanship. Old school values with reasonable prices. I own 4 Godin’s ( all awesome) . Great instruments, great company..

Wow, that's such a cool guitar. The "old barrel" version wasnt available in my usual online store (idem in local stores, no radium at all), but the limited edition with bare knuckles was. Fortunately I like brown guitars, multi brown even... hope those pickups are worth the extra money, eh. So, dear Canucks, greetings from Italy.

I have seen the Orange prototype for Halloween, but I would like more colors available for this guitar : black, Gold Top, .... natural wood is just not my thing

Why are they calling the pickup selector a "super" switch when it just has the standard Strat combinations? To my mind, a superswitch normally means the middle position gives bridge+neck, instead of the middle pickup. I'd find that much more useful.

That’s literally what it’s called, a “five way super switch” (not by Godin, but by the company that manufactures them) due to the ability to coil split the humbuckers giving “9” instead of the traditional “5” way switching.

Yo that wrap around bridge is HUGE for the tone. Good call! ;) hehe tone snob here. But forreal, great sounding guitar, especially those humbuckers (especially in the Neck!) I never liked the sound of a hummy and singy together though, always sounded muddled. Could be a cool option if the 2 and 4 positions automatically split the humucker with the single coil in the middle for stratty quack style. Or better yet, there was an option to play two humbuckers like the summit. Seriously good playing regardless

I don't undestand why this guitar design has no tremolo bridge? I mean, it's built a lot like a tele, sure, but man could the sustained sound use some manual pitch modulation as every clean chord rings out.

I saw a reviewer say these are difficult to play without clacking the pick on a pickup. No free space to strum. Anybody who could , from their own experience, confirm or refute this ???

Why is this guitar listed as "Carbon black" everywhere when it's clearly a dark brown natural wood finish?

often wood is "tinted" the shade of a stain vs. a solid color with an opaque paint. this is my guess. or it just a name. :-)

Planning on buying one of these, maybe in carbon black but this brown looks better with the humbuckers. Wanted to ask - the Godin site isn't clear (well, I didn't dig around too much) if this is completely built in Canada. Can anyone verify this?

Baconator James As far as I know all Godin guitars are made and assembled in the US and Canada (assembled in the US or the other way around). So both countries really.

1 2 3 4 5 -- Bridge Bridge+Middle Middle Neck+Middle Neck with a coil split on the bridge and neck, that makes 9 switch setting. not 100% sure the coil split on the tone knob includes the neck pickup.

I had the Summit Classic Convertible Gold HG since it was the most versatile guitar I've ever tried. Got it for a good price at an L&M store, but I just couldn't stand to look at it anymore - it was hideous. Goldtops look like tacky old-lady-broaches & those pickups made it look even worse. Most of the Godin lineup is beautiful, though - and priced below what they're worth. I would prefer Richlite fretboard to Rosewood, but I get why the Radium has Rosewood.

LOL - I think it looks classic. Like a mid 50's Les Paul. I have the Carbon Black Radium. Now I'd like to replace my Teles with Stadiums, my Strat with a Session and my Les Paul with a Summit. I should come out $$$ ahead too.

Do you dislike the head stock cause of how it looks, or because of potential tuning issues (like Gibson's can have)?

@@mikec6733 it's like the John Mayer PRS, it just looks wrong no matter how fancy the paint job. This Godin looks like a Tele with a Gibson headstock. There must be a market for it though.

@@toneranger We all have different tastes I guess. I wouldn't mind this head stock at all. The one's that I would feel kind of embarrassed to play in public are the fancy ones like D'angelico and Hagstrom. To each his own,
