Dynamite arrows work best against this build. Reinforced Lasso and Bolas also work agaisnt it, and are cheaper but situational.

Did you test it double sawed off shotguns? I saw someone use that tank build in public enemy. I used slippery bastard, ran up to him, tackled and used reinforced lasso to hogtie him. You can’t use a knife to cut out of reinforced lasso and it takes a long time to get out of it. So I picked him up and went to the edge of the map. I repeatedly picked him up, and throw him down and pick him up again. This resets the breakout timer on the lasso so he wouldn’t get out. Punished him for 2 minutes straight then he left the session lol.

I rarely have time to use em. Number one cause of death for me in pvp is because I was trying to wheel tab over and item tab over for 15 seconds looking for my health while in 'cover' that gets me shot. Ill only use healing stuff if Im sniping and Ive killed my counter attacker who lit me up from the ground. Its about the only time that I ever even attempt to heal. And thats only cause if they get me off my perch, theyll watch it like a hawk for me to return the rest of the round. Eating, drinking, and tonics should not be skippable, and should be interruptable if shot while in animation. Dont attack the cards that can be used in 90 other fair combinations. Get rid of the actual problem, or take every single card out of the game entirely. None of this selective fuckery after people spend $1000 per card to try out combinations with them. Thats whatll make an honest player start glitching, since on one hand if all my effort involved means nothing then neither should the money thats needed to obtain things. Im leveling up Iron Lung and Fool Me Once right now for simple defensive free roam wagon sales and pve as well as an option in pvp. I run damage cards with both of these though. If they attack the cards I use, since Ive only unlocked 6 anyway, Ill turn to Jstone videos to get my wasted investment back.

Let me do a brief analysis of PVP nowadays. After the changes just of handful of people can handle the new speed and mechanics (that are like million years away from realistic Wild west setting and feeling), therefore more casual players or outright noobs feel hopeless and doomed when in pvp. This has several effects: 1. Lobbies are almost always empty - rarely there are even half full on the bigger showdown maps. 2. The lobbys, when full are full of tryhards and people that play the whole day and this makes people even more hopeless. 3. As we know tryhards don't like to lose so what they do - they abuse fucking tonics whole day. Some players have legit money to invest, some have glitched the shit out of this game and have millions. Bottom line - they have money:) 4. Some of the noobs are hard nosed - they see a god mode video and think - well this is the only way to score some kills, lets go and do it! So they do it both in free roam and in pvp:) 5. Tryhards don't like to lose as I said, so those of them that have no dignity whatsoever left, start using the stupid god mode too. 6. THIS GAME HASN'T BEEN IN A BETTER SHAPE EVER!!! 7. Even if there are people that care about the game and refuse to use this BS, the game still sucks, because all the previous points make it ZERO fun to play! I really hope somebody from R* sees this and thinks for 5 minutes on it. Stupid cause and effect!

I think they need to add either a cooldown that gets longer as you use more tonics and/or negative effects for chugging tonics (character gets sick or hallucinates). I dont want them to nerf tonics or the abilities too bad but something needs to be done for sure.

I think a lot of people told themselves they will see what the update will bring before they decide to quit the game or not. Seeing how unbalanced pvp currently is and how long it would probably take to fix it was enough for lots of people, including me to throw in the towel. Even with so many people asking rockstar to remove the 1 kill bow from pvp they instead decided to add it to free aim lobbies and heck leave paint it black in there too. I can't tell you the frustration of being a level 340 and being killed by a lvl 80 who stacked up level 3 health cures with slow and steady. No matter how many shots I fire at him his health won't even drop, I thought it was a glitch! In the meantime he sits in the middle of an open field taking his time to look at the scenery before he realizes I've fired 5 shots at him already to just turn around and kill me. On top of that they buffed body shot damage and reduce the chances of getting a 1 kill headshot on a target, which extremely favors slow and steady. I just refuse to use a build made for people who have no idea what it means to take cover and flank but instead walk through the middle of the map like Mike Myers treating each bullet like I'm firing a water gun at them. So done with this game

Sour QQ my guess would be special miracle tonic is level 3 for health stamina and dead eye. Anything special is a level 3 and is better than anything potent which is level 2.

They do have the defensive mode now which gets rid of greifers. But people will get tired of these way over powered ability cards because it makes it so anyone under rank 60 has no chance against anyone who has been playing for a while. Makes the already one-sided pvp matches way mlre one-sided which is only fun for a few people who are basically cheating. Rockstar better bring back slippery bastard and more free aim options or they're gonna lose alot of users.

Matt Johnston yeah while defensive mode is great and all, griefers are able to be in defensive mode and they can still shoot at people, respawn and still be in defensive. I’ve had this happen to me before and I had to resort to shooting dynamite arrows at the bastard cause he stayed in defensive mode.

We gotta expose this issue. That’s crazy. I suggest for all tonic drinking animations to be cancelled when taking single shot, and a reduction to the overall effectiveness of tonics. These tonics can even make the pve trivial and as you said, just hurt the game.

Like consuming a second level 3 tonic within some short time is as effective as drinking a level 1, and make the optimum time between use equal to the time the tonic lasts naturally without damage taken. Timer can be reduced or reset when you die I guess.

Cards were taken in the completely wrong direction. The main ability is find, maybe some need some tweaking, but the others should focus on pve it’s primarily, things like hinting, fishing, ect.

Me and my buddy went against 8 tryhards at the same time for like 2 hours. We weren't super specced out for PvP. They kicked our asses a handful of times, but God damn if we didn't piss them off when we beat 'em 😆 It was crazy, but really fun to have such a difficult challenge.

After the last update I cant get headshots at all... like I used to be able to defend myself from players but now I'm trash since the update

It's not even the tonics lol it's conjunction of slow and steady with tonics. Tonics themselves aren't that great. Also explosive rounds and incendiary rounds are a thing so

They need to patch it but not by just completely removing tonics. Would be very disappointed.

Thanks PvP Cool Cat for all your testing and great advice. I don't get all the yelling about griefing. No fun but I see it as paying your dues on the way up. Been shot, burned, dragged and killed every which way. I play defense with no pvp. Get killed so what, come right back. Just hit Rank 200 lol.

Personally, I think tonics are more problematic when try hards that use godlike builds use them and those who don't use godlike aren't really much of threat when it comes to tonics. Then again it depends on the player. I understand that the main issue with tonics is that people tend to spam them non stop but it doesn't really make them invincible. I know this cause of my fair share of dealing with people who would spam tonics and it only took 3 shots for me to take them out. Don't have to agree with me this is just my opinion on Tonics.

Well this answers why some of my enemies are unkillable but an explosive arrow to kill one guy. It's a waste of $ 8 and it cuts into my pvp profits. How does a damage build stack up like winning streak and peak conditioning.

@@MrCarlos07770 pvp are usually small showdowns and the team based ones offer less profit. So if I win $15, but waste $ 7 then I waste my winning. But if I lose the match then I didn't make much at all. You can make a lot more money in free roam but I still pvp from time to time to shake off any rust.

some dudes tried to dynamite and fire bottle me as i was waving at them. lantern had been out and lifted as i approached. proceeded to annihilate them by taking a tonic to counter the fact i was on fire, literally, and then i blew them to pieces with incendiary buckshot. The only way they could have killed me is by keeping me stunlocked with dynamite or explo ammo i think. anyways, all 3 ran off after i killed them. they even had "griefers" in posse name ahahaha. some griefers

I'm glad theres a tank build I know I'm not alone when u say im tired of griefers in gta5. This is a nice chill game and of course high lvl griefers enjoy stroking their egos with an uneven easy fight. I mind my own business and enjoy the game but am thankful that theres this build paired with defense mode. People do abuse it and that's unfortunate but most of us are passive gamers and new to it also. My opinion is they'd ruin it for us casual players just like they did with the mk2 oppressor in Gt5. They do that with another of their titles and people will continue to stop playing and justifiably so. My .02

I’m a high level player that spends a whole lot of time minding my own business. I don’t look at other people’s levels because rank only amounts to time spent but every time I’m defending myself from other players, some wannabe hero doesn’t even check to see who is chasing who, they just see the killfeed and think I’m on a rampage. Nobody ever stops to check to see if the guy that is winning is just defending or not. Dumb ass “greefa hunta wannabes need content for their 5 subscribers.

incendiary buckshot and tomahawk is a good combo ive used plenty on tankbuilds. Give it a try.
