Candy corn is a wonderful gift from God. I am glad we can all agree upon this indisputable fact.

The great buoyancy of these two warms my heart. Convinces, almost without argument, of the importance of the topics they consider. Those, in this segment, almost come across as a literary analysis of Catholic folklore, comments on a text.

Fan of you both, Father Jacob pulls ahead with the lack of enthusiasm for Taylor Swift. Can’t wait for The Confessions to roll around, I keep checking my Spotify for new episodes! God bless you both.

Totally agree Father Jantzen- I think God’s will is that it not be some great change once we die but a continuation of current change in Christ.

Agree that the moment of conversion is a mystery- I once was blind but now I see.

Interesting I’m about 2/3rd of the way through Confessions right now. I read about half of it a year or two ago and revisited it again.

I read it and took a class on it last year. I loved the first half but not so much after that.

Interesting the way he wrote it was for the second half specifically to address a Christian audience only.

Here’s an interesting question that I’ll frame first. When we die we exist outside of time because time is apart of nature. To enter Gods realm (heaven or hell) we exist outside of nature. Therefore time for God exists on a continuum. So perhaps when we die we experience the bodily resurrection and are judged immediately, & collectively thereby enter into heaven, purgatory or hell all of humanity at a single point in our celestial bodies. Meaning we don’t experience heaven, purgatory or hell without our body. However for those of us living who see family die we may not see them for decades but when we arise from the dead we immediately see our family and friends. Thoughts?

I know multiple people who chewed tobacco for many years and the teeth fall out one by one and they all just got them pulled because they were falling out anyway I never thought about morality of it

A saint can chose purgatory to help save a soul. There’s a long history of escape-goating, and bi location salvifically speaking, In fact, Jesus did it. He went to hades to save souls,as well as the church militant. However, i guess, if the church actually canonizes the person then I’m not sure the saint can focus only on the soul for which they chose purgatory or remain in purgatory.
