lol, crazy thing is that it did. e85, and a tune, got him just under 10 on 20's in the 2015. my 2009 took an FBO to get to the same times. I am in about 8k from stock compared to his 3k.

+saeed al ameri Yup, I heard that and laughed a little. Once any of the years go FBO with E85 the playing field levels out. There isn't anything special about the newer ones that make them faster. Bolt ons and a good tune are the great equalizer. But a tune and intakes, even with E85, will not net you a 9 sec car.

+Mihi1205 the exhaust was handmade by sitto motorsports in royal oak michigan. it is 4" aluminum from the turbos back, everything is deleted except for 2 high performance mufflers. they used thick aluminum so it doesn't sound raspy like titanium at high rpms.

In the fall of 2008 the 2009 GTR hit show rooms with a sticker of 68k but the dealers had a 20k markup. In January of 2009 Nissan raised the official price to 84k. The only people that got a GTR for 68k were those that pre ordered directly from Nissan. This is why the 2009's are selling for 60k, because the person that purchased it most likely paid 90k. Interestingly a brand new GTR stickers for over 100k but you can buy one from a dealer for 94k.

I wish I had one. I currently own a 1992 Nissan Skyline R32 though, but it's nothing compared to these beasts!! if only I had the money. Nice review! I enjoyed it and learned some. I will share this video now and start getting hate comments because I have a lot of family/friends that love your typical Camaro's, Mustangs, Porche etc. haha. The GTR is still my favorite.

Went to Tampa over the weekend and checked out a '13 Deep blue pearl Black edition, then I got home and everyone in the GTR group said buy the '15 used instead, way better. I've always been far more in favor of American Muscle (my personal vehicle being a '13 Camaro SS), but I'll always have some good amount of respect for Godzilla. For 70k-90k, you can outrun a machine that costs 200-500k. Same reason why I'll always have some respect for the older tuners also.

Godzilla nickname is only for the R32. A GT-R is not even a Skyline. It shouldn't even get the Godzilla name as it is not a Skyline. Nissan stated the Skyline name was gone, the GT-R just takes ideas from the original Skyline series. Take a look at the VIN, there is no R35 in the VIN.

i wouldn't want to sit with straight arms like that in a car like that. 4wd a little slip and i think it'll be pretty hard to control or save the car since your arms are so straight you don't have as much force. Haven't tried to drive a gtr yet but logically it would make sense i guess? you never see a racedriver with straight arms, always a kind of L form so you can use all your arm muscles to controll the wheel

WHen the Godzilla first came out in 09, Nissan thought to keep prices down since compared to R34, it was a reasonable price and its only a "Nissan" badge after all. 6 years later, Nissan realized that it was being sold for WAY TOO cheap compared to ANY OTHER super car in the WORLD so it decided to increase its price by 40k. BUY THE 09 MODEL NEW IF YOU HAVE A BRAIN.

If you're looking to buy this car, get at least a 2012. Better brakes, more hp from the factory, better interior, launch control. Nissan got to soft with this car starting 2014 and now 2016 performs the worst in recent years. 2013 is the best from the factory.
