Fun fact: Apparently in the concept art they were going to look a lot more alien looking, which might have been the case during early production and was changed halfway through, because the airships design they used now is actually almost identical to the concept art Vertacine. The intent was probably that they built the airships to look just like a Mecha-Vertacine to further enhance its camouflage ability.
