In Round 3, Godzilla went all beast mode due to not taking the fight very seriously from round 2. Also I like the roaring communication of dominance which Kong didn't give in.

Godzilla DID take the fight seriously, Adam said his own commentary was it's own thing and he doesn't take commentaries seriously. Godzilla went berserk because of his ego being bruised. He was just spamming at first to not waste too much energy on kong. Once the axe landed on godzilla's head, godzilla just went all out

Hell, Kong was still young in this movie. Although Kong was fighting ever since he was born on Skull Island. He must've been a bit scared about how Godzilla was going all berserk on him, trying to fight back, but clearly Godzilla had the upper hand when it came to brute strength. But in my eyes, I say that even though Kong was pinned by Godzilla, he really showed his resilience and resisted being taught as some slave by Godzilla. Which to me, is the strongest thing Kong has that Godzilla can't take away.

@@TheOomiGang kong wasn't young in this movie, it's been confirmed by Adam 3 years ago and the prequel comic kingdom kong that kong in gvk was a fully grown adult and has been for some time. He's 337 feet/102 meters. That's his fully grown height, he didn't get any bigger in gxk as his height remained the same. Kingdom kong stated kong was 90 meters at the time, near his full grown height. The fact Adam said kong was equivalent to a guy in his 40s in this film says enough on how old kong is.

Okay, I'm sure other people have noticed Kong have variations of his previous incarnation's roars, but I swear to God, at 0:36, right when Kong hits Godzilla's head, I could swear I heard a brief roar that both him and King Caesar made in the Showa universe. If anyone remembers the King Kong vs. Godzilla scene with the giant octopus, it was those brief roars when Kong scarred of the octopus.
