Superb. Not only an iconic bike, but you were so privileged to get so many parts and documented history along with the sale and meeting a true, honest gentleman of a seller. I'll look forward with great interest, to seeing what you do with this rare and much sought-after classic machine. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much! It really was a great find and package. I've got some good ideas for the bike to show off more of the drag look but also update the style ques to reflect what's in fashion now for these bikes

Wow what a find, one door closes and another opens! I actually like that H2 better than the H1 that got away. You're in Canada and this deal was in Canada?....Man that couldn't be too cheap, care to share what you paid for it?I wish I could find something like that where I live in Massachusetts.
@PetesClassicCycle24 күн бұрын
Thanks! This definitely made up for the H1. I don't like to disclose how much I pay for the bikes but I would consider it a fair price.
@ouch7424 күн бұрын
@@PetesClassicCycle Happy to hear that, again what a lucky score. I think the H2's are for whatever reason more valued than the H1's so money well spent I say. Also I respect not disclosing the paid price. After all money is religion, there was a time asking somebody how they made per hour at a job was taboo/bad etiquette and for good reason. One scenario is if you were to disclose the amount paid I imagine immediately after you could be hustled constantly by prospective folks even if you aren't interested in selling. So I get it.

@@PetesClassicCycle Ah yes, I see the fonts are light green too, rather than white on black and missing the mph under the odometer. I prefer the colour scheme of the '72, particularly in blue but do like the chrome mudguards of the A model. Stainless like the early 500's would've been even better. I expect there's quite a lot of mix and match bikes around now. As long as they go and handle half decently, it isn't all that important. Best regards from Wales, and have a good New Year.

What's wrong with the pipes?
@H2HAL25 күн бұрын
@@PetesClassicCycle Looking at the way the rear bracket has to come forward so much, and the awkward angle of the downpipe to the first cone, my immediate thought was they are H1 Wirges. I have a feeling Wirges used the same cones though for his H1 and H2 pipes. On this I stand to be corrected, of course.

@@PetesClassicCyclethey don't make any power on a H1, so they probably rob a H2 of power
