Good stuff. I like 16:9 better too. I think the price difference is significant & I'm happy with the 02C's, so I would certainly go Skyzone on this. I personally don't need ultimate penetration, etc. I wonder if the spare face plates fit the O2C's & if they can be purchased separately.
@wannab0095 жыл бұрын
i would get them because of the price range, but like others have commented the lack of module is what is holding them back from being the best goggle, i think if it came as a full kit with module at this price would be great, or cheaper without and you can get the rapidfire if that would be your preference.

I knew it, skyzone is an awesome company, and this just blew away fat shark. They’ve been making great products for a while now, and they’re willing to put in the effort that others aren’t. Lost a quad over a hill and down the other side and probably close to a half a mile away, maybe more and could still just see enough to be able to work out where it was. Great review. As someone just getting into the hobby I don’t think I would be investing this much for my first set of goggles, but they definitely look nice. I think I would still pick these over the HDOs though because I’m not so interested investing in additional modules at this point, and that sounds like just too much to spend so early on. I think in the end I will go for one step down and get a pair of sky zone sky02x/c since they have all the features I need and should last me a number of years. There is also so much change happening in the goggle field right now that it doesn’t make much sense to me to go for the most expensive goggle when there will be something bigger and better right around the corner. Thanks again for doing these detailed reviews, very entertaining and informative.

This would be a tough decision if I was looking for new goggles and I did not already own HD2 T2 goggles with Rapidfire. The lower price is a huge plus and I will definitely be recommending these to friends. I am a huge fan of the multiple faceplate design. I love how well everything is integrated and just works. The goofy RGB lights are great; I am way into RGB stuff, and you can turn them off if you don't want them. The front camera would be a helpful feature to me. I do really wish they had a module bay, even if it came empty and there was still a built-in receiver that you could turn on and off. I would really like the ability to use modules directly in the goggles because I would never plug in something externally from an AV cable; too much of a hassle. That would also make a digital receiver module directly in the goggles possible in the future. So, the one thing I would change is leave an empty module bay there in the side. If it had that, this would probably be the ultimate goggle out there right now. Otherwise, I would not necessarily change anything else except maybe a little more FOV because I have a 50 degree right now and I love it, but that is just a personal preference.
@bigrad31485 жыл бұрын
It's a tough call between the Skyzones or pimped out HDO's. At $429, the 03O's are definitely a great value, but is the extra $221 worth it for the HDO's? Lack of even one receiver bay means you'd have to really hack something to upgrade the Skyzone's. On the other hand, I like the faceplate options. I had to resell a pair of Attitude v3's because they just would not fit my face. I'd like to see switchable 16:9, though. I'm going to give a slight edge to the Skyzones, but it's razor thin. A good holiday sale could tip me to buy the HDO's.

@csmith60435 жыл бұрын
Not sure where I stand on the 4:3 format, but I do have an idea for the biggest complaint I've read. If they could implement a module bay, but they don't have to include a module. Just provide the ability to add one if you desire, or keep using what's built in. I don't know if any other company is doing such a thing, so this may be already done by someone. I just don't see why having the integrated system means you can't also have a separate module bay.

The huge resolution is a no brainer with some type of HD feed on the way. The HDO are just mad expensive and I've flown a demo set and can't say I was blown away. Just seem too much money for the price!

I would choose the HDO over this because the modular receivers add so much flexibility, and I understand Fatshark customer service is really good. However, these Skyzone goggles seem to offer a great FPV experience for a nice price, which makes the choice really hard.

I would love to try some of the newer goggels with oled screens I've got the hd3 it's my only pair have been flying with them now for 3 years...would be nice for an upgrade ...but why fix something that's not broke... lol

These goggles look amazing. I’m new to the hobby and have only tried the Aomway V1s. I really like how they have thought about the basics and improved the low cost features, but they have pulled all the strings to improve the good stuff too. I would definitely go with these over HDOs. Great to see lower cost options for us who are just getting started on a tight budget.

I have the 02's and love them. I find I can jump around channels much faster then the other guys with FS's. My only gripe with mine, and probably the 030's as well, is there is no auto-start dvr. One extra step at the beginning of every flight which I usually forget to do making it much harder to find my lost quad.

What anttener do you use on the goggle?

The faceplate fitments are great. Interesting there is still the front facing camera. I dig the lightbar they added, and the adjustable lumens seems a great idea if seperate from a brightness control which seems to wash out the image easily. With preparing for hd systems I am suprised they have the built in receivers.. im sure they work well enough but hooking in through the hdmi would seem to make things a bit awkward.( extra cable tether, cable possibly to come loose or pop out if accidently tugged)

Stu - what if Fatshark comes up with a Digital Module? then the Fatsharks might be better "Future Proof". Other that that I would choose These

I just got into FPV and I wanted to buy the DJI FPV Experience ones. How do you think these compare to the DJI ones?
@UAVfutures5 жыл бұрын
VERY VERY DIFFERENT, completely different tech, I think these are cheaper, lighter, fit better work with most current FPV drones etc, but the DJi have some high res magic in them that is also pretty cool.

@@UAVfutures Thank you very much for the respone. Well yes, thats what I saw in a video from Le Drib, the quality is incomparable and the range seems to be better too.

@@UAVfutures could you please recommend a brand of FC's that would work well with the DJI goggles. Is Matek Systems Ok?

Skyzone all the way. Have had Sky02 and the revised 03"s and love them. From my 02s to 03s never had a problem with the built in reciever. Oled would be a great addition. Great review Stu

i've got HDO goggles and love them with the RapidFire module. i think having the module choices and being able to better 'future proof' your goggles is the way to go. if a crazy HD module comes out for my Fat Sharks i don't have to buy a whole new goggle for another $450, i can just get a new module for $100 or whatever instead.

Cant wait to try this awesome goggles! Skyzone climb up the goggle leader ladders! Oled dvr diversity usb And "front camera". What can you want another feature from the fpv goggle?
@thirtythreeeyes86245 жыл бұрын
My one complaint about fatshark is no camera on the front. They keep laughing at me when I call and ask if they plan on adding one and I don't know why.

some people want a module bay? what do you think?
@umutkaradag23405 жыл бұрын
@@UAVfutures i think they made a great job on internal diversity module. No need the external modules.

And if they want they can mod it i think :D Even ev100d can be modded and used with fatshark modules.

I like everything about these goggles, except that they do not have a module bay. I am currently looking at upgrading my starter box goggles. They have served me well for a few year. But I am to the point where I need a diversity receiver. Maybe the no module bay isn’t a deal breaker just depends on how the Oem receiver preforms. I do really like the option that sky zone comes with several different colors. But it is time to go back to research on what my next goggles will be.

these seem awesome, comparing to my old Skyzone goggles. Been wanting to upgrade for a while now, but couldn't decide what to get, the price range is huge for quality goggles, even bigger for folks not living in the US, having their standard... all in all, whould like to have them :)

id you see my recent comparison vid between aomway skyzone and FS?

@@UAVfutures i've seen a bunch of your videos including the comparison one, they've helped a bunch. my biggest problem with mine is the lack of integrated fan, especially here where the temperature got close to 40°C this summer, so i can say that the 1st thing i need in a new goggle set is a fan... so far i'm broke from buying all the new quad parts, and the goggles will sadly have to wait

Looks good! I, like others, would like to see these with a module bay, but honestly they could simply offer it as a "core" version, no built in rx, sell it for $399... And then you basically have an HDO that's better and less money

I just bought the HDOs 3-4 months back. As a newbie i don't care much for the modules, i just want quality to fly with. So it sucks a bit that these was not around when i bought my HDOs, then i am pretty sure these would have been my choice instead, as they more that fulfill my needs as a newbie

As a noob I think I would prefer a larger screen for more immersion. These have everything that people previously complained about including Bardwell to fatshark.

I like both the Fathark Attitude and this new Skyzone one. Looks like a great set of features and good screens. As a newbie to the hobby I practice with a 7" DVR screen, but my aim is to improve and then get some affordable goggles with good features.
