I think many of us find ourselves looking at the ANC through the lens of the leader we resonate with or whom we think aligns with our political ideologies. The crux of his analysis wich makes him different from many political analysts is that he often focuses on the behind the scenes developments of our political environment. Gogo Matshiqi has spent a great deal of time trying to discredit Zuma in a subtle way. The evidence is clear that Zuma is not a friend of the Western forces and they hate him. It is not fair for Aubrey to intimate Zuma for a spy while protecting Ramadollar when there is no evidence to support it. He is also insinuating that Zuma is a tribalist when he knows very well that MK is only 6 weeks old and the Zulu king has not even endorsed MK. This podcast should be opened for a debate if people integrity will be attacked without opposition.
@ntoimjiyako177710 ай бұрын
Exactly, very subtle indeed. His past hatred of JZ was his main hidden theme. He does not even give him benefit of doubt. His sentences begins with JZ therefore making him the main agent/subject of undesirable actions while others like Mbeki that he mentions in the same sentence become less tainted...nc...nc.

I liked the part when he subtlety laughed when he insinuates that JZ uses the MK to be seen as if he is radical. BabuMatshiqi you were so biased. This interview should have been an explicit opinion of uBabuMatshiqi on JZ and MK. He was not supposed to ask people to go and vote because with this biasness he is decampaigning MK.

The thing is. Zuma is indeed radical. Just that there are powers that be that hindered him from executing during his presidency. He has always spoken about radical economic transformation, nuclear, land expropriation. That is all radical so I didn’t quite understand the insinuation that he is acting as if he is. If he was a good puppet to WMC then they wouldn’t have held a smear campaign and corporate media propaganda against him. As for the current prez. I think it’s obvious that he’s not even trying to be radical. Look at him campaigning in spaza shops owned by immigrants

100% and that Zulu narrative to me was kinda off. It’s not our fault that Zulus are the way we are. We just don’t want wool pulled over our eyes. Not to say that everyone else does but we just operate from a bit of that arrogance which we need because it’s not all sunshine and rainbows especially with a certain type of people that always seeks to exploit

Exactly Siyamthanda. I think most people think that for one to be radical you must demonstrate that you are a scholar of Western Education, in particular, precisely because we are taught Western education or what I call Western socio-cultural cognition pedagogy. Given that JZ did not attend formal (Western) education he does not fit to be taken seriously by people like uBabuMatshiqi hence he laughs subtly on JZ in this regard. Are we not supposed to label all those who resist Western ideologies as radicals? This is what JZ is demonstrating. Our South African Kings like King Moshoeshoe, King Cetshwayo and others fought against Whites, resisting their their influence or 'land thieving'. To me they fit the definition of a radical, because they were not protesting but resisting white domination. Regardless that they did not receive Western socio-cultural cognition pedagogy. Zuma talks of Radical Economic Transformation. So, why is not seen to be radical? The answer to our so-called educated Blacks, is that he did not 'go to school'.

@@SiyamthandaMsomi-oc2toTo talk about being radical doesn't make you radical, that's what Zuma does, talk. He had a power to implement some of the things he always talks about, but he didn't, that's why he say he tries to appear radical. In short words, he is a Populist.

@sicelomakwayiba2457 What do you mean he was all talk? He did implement radical moves but the system went against him, his nuclear program for electricity was one such program. The media made sure they run his reputation to the ground to undermine his efforts

Dr. Matshiqi is invaluable to SA and the anatomy of its existential state. Thank you for having access to this reservoir of knowledge and sharing it with us. Unbiased and frank. Scary and hopeful. Lets us all go a make sober decisions on the day of voting. #VOTEMK2024
