How do you help an applicant thru the interview process? Two other teachers mentioned we should send our resumes to them and they would forward them to Gogokid. What is your process?

This is so overtop. I’ve taught k and 1st grade and I would never talk to my students like this. It’s seems so condescending and there’s no way I could keep up this level of energy for hours on end with multiple classes. 🙄😐

Hi Tim! I have my interview tomorrow and this is the first online ESL company I'm trying out for. I noticed in this particular video the words are inverted/mirrored on the screen when you're teaching the demo lesson, does the GoGoKid software mirror your camera (where the interviewer sees your words backward) or it shows everything unmirrored and they're able to correctly see the words you wrote?

Hi Nikki! Yes, it does look that way but rest assured it is mirrored correctly for the child :) They will see the words correctly. Their software is quite good so I wondered the same thing, but its just how it looks for us, but they see it the right way. Hey, if you don't have a referral teacher, the interviewer will ask for someones code. Id be delighted if you used mine (CTDWBRRA). Good luck on the interview!

Great demo! I have one question, do you think we need an extra reward system like the ice cream for the interview? I have been working for Dada for three years and tbh right before Dada I failed with VIPKID. I just decide to interview with Dada instead of signing up for a second try with VIPOKID andI really think that was the right move for me. But now something is going on at Dada and the opportunities to get students and, therefore, get paid are not what they used to be. Anyways both Dada and VIP seemed to stress an extra reward system, so I definitely had them on hand in the beginning but now I am so used to just drawing, being over the top happy and using the online stars etc... because that is what has been working for me in the long run. I am afraid if i go back to extra rewards it will seem forced. Is not having a reward system going to be an issue?

It's not a requirement for teaching with VIPKid, but for the demo's yes, use them. For GGK, also the same, use a secondary reward.

Yes, once you book the interview, you will have access to the lesson. You are supposed to try to finish the lesson, yes, or come close. It won't fail you on its own if you dont finish but try to come close. Yes, I was clicking to advance to the next slide and yes I was accepted after this interview.
