What's terrifying about this Gohan is that he wasn't possessed by anyone nor was his body stolen by any villain, it's really him but hopelessness, anger, hatred and a desire for revenge have turned him evil. Unlike any other villain this series has had so far, he actually decided to become evil on his own, without influence from anyone. That's what Future Gohan would have become if he hadn't died.

lol, for years Gohan protected Vegeta's son (Future Trunks) from those metal brats, and died fighting them in a 1v2 fight. When it comes to courage , Vegeta has no right to lecture anyone in Goku's family. We will never forget how Vegeta cried like a b**** and lost his will to fight when he realized he was outclassed by Frieza. On the other hand, Bardock fought like a lion even though he was outclassed and outnumbered by Frieza and his army. Gohan, as a little boy, had fought against guys who were far bigger and stronger than him (Nappa, Vegeta, the Ginyu force, Frieza). While everyone was fighting bravely against the overwhelmingly powerful Broly, the cowardice Saiyan prince was so scared that he dropped to his knees. I know Vegeta had changed and become less selfish and more courageous, but he still has no right to lecture Future Gohan about "having the balls."

I think Vegeta isn't became a super Saiyan in the future timeline because it was hard for future trunks to become a super Saiyan while present trunks can become super Saiyan easily due to him having s cells from Vegeta but this factor lies in buu saga and future trunks is from cell saga so if you want to believe he was a super Saiyan you can and if you don't it isn't an issue
