I used to volunteer at a vet clinic near Puyallup WA. A lady brought in her Tom cat because he had been missing for a month and when he came home had an enormous wound to his back right leg. It was so foul you could smell it from across the room. Maggots, pus and rot so disgusting. I helped the tech and vet sterilize the surgery room and set up supplies and in return I got to watch. That cat left without his balls (per owners request fir a nueter) and 4 drain tube. His leg looked like patchwork and I was so impressed by how easy the vet made it look! BTW cleaning that wound looked narly. Cat definitely felt that when he woke up.

My partner and I got a bunny recently, and I gotta say, it's every bit of work we'd expected and then some. We love caring after her but it's only after thinking about the worst case scenario and getting everything else ready that we acquired her, and I think it's basic ethical practice to be well-versed in pet care beforehand, running a realistic simulation of having a pet given your current lifestyle, and prepare extensively for what may change.

I’m an Orthodox Jew and we use produce soap to remove insects since insects aren’t kosher. Some things can be checked for bugs but things like lettuce it’s time consuming to do a thorough search, so letting it sit in the soap and then checking the (well rinsed) leaves is way easier. But I’m not seeing the logic of putting your pet in the same liquid you’re using to kill something else.

7:49 ok this sounds like genuine curiosity because i've asked questioned like this before (i kinda have to explain myself here: i was curious if attack dogs were real and if so-- how people can do that without the dog attacking the owner and everyone was like DONT DO THIS and im like... ok but... thats not the point my guy) and i now also want to know because the question IMPLIES that theyre literally PIERCING the frog bc of how they frame it as 'would it inflate again'

That was harsh to even watch you do this topic. Any animal should be treated humanely. And the general public doesn't want to see ALL the different ways an animal can die. I don't care to own a frog, but I have a friend that does. I see them kept in a tank full of water. She insists that is the way they thrive. I thought frogs like to get out of the water occasionally like turtles do, but I don't know for sure, so I keep my mouth shut.

To be fair they probably have vegetable soap which is safe to eat but is like a minor bacteriacide. I can’t tell if the first toad is alive or not but having soap on the salad isn’t tooooo weird

If you wash your vegetables you should use salt not soap LOL It kills most things on it and it's food safe and doesn't really "stain" the food with its taste, it can, but generally you can rinse salt water right off most fruits and veggies especially if the foods aren't cut open beforehand, if it does a bit it doesn't completely ruin the food

Toads are a type of frog, so the first one is a frog. You can look it up if you want. It's like how tortoises are actually a type of turtle. Or gorillas are apes.
