Great to see real specific detailed explanations of the subtle differences between good and not so so good strokes and the why !! Looking forward to more of these -:)

I am just completing your six week course, (although studied in the early '90s and left it for so long I forgot it!) However, just before restarting, with your course, I decided to make some art and sell it. I realize that I am not waiting to be good, but, I already have to balance some humility/humiliation/ego over how badly I could judge my juvenile attempts from just a month ago!!

I hear you. The thing is we’re always better today than yesterday. So we just have to keep going.

Rules Know the general rules. Follow them. Mistakes Know the common mistakes. Avoid them. Variations Organized somehow? (same rule discrepancy, other...?) Practice Process (smart) Eg. water paper (printed the basic strokes , Kana, Kanji) Copy, Repeat... Inefficient teaching methods (Slow and Confusing) Kanji taught individually. (Rules randomly taught here and there) KZbin videos examples Hours of kana and kanji videos (If you just knew all the general rules...Just unnecessary) Art It's the same with Life Drawing.
