I saw some other comments here saying that you inspired them to become software engineers, and I just came here to say the same! After studying and working within music/marketing, and being generally unhappy with my job, you inspired me to do an iOS Dev bootcamp two years ago. I've been working as an iOS Dev ever since, and I truly love it! I hope you know how big of a difference you've made for people, and how much you've positively impacted the trajectory of our lives. Especially as a female iOS Dev, I don't think I would've had the courage to jump into iOS Development, without having at least 1 role model (that I could relate to) to look up to. So, thank you so much Mayuko! Representation matters, role models matter, and *you* definitely matter. I'm forever grateful to you and your inspiring, relatable, and motivating videos.

I can definitely relate to the joy of coding after having a break! 🤩 I'd been working as an engineering manager for ~2 years, burnt out, took a 6 months break (my employer was very supportive), came back to the same job but as an individual contributor. During my break I had time to reflect on why I was so miserable in that role and I realised I just loved coding and solving problems hands-on! It's my 4th day back today and I couldn't be happier 😊

Hey, it's so great to see that you're just going with what feels right to you right now without overanalyzing it too much or making hard and fast 5 year plans. Embracing uncertainty is such an important skill. Ironically, the decision to step away from content creation for a bit is in itself good "content". Because it shows us that life is not static, priorities change, and we can always re-invent ourselves if we want to! Best wishes to you.
