Hey man, just a piece of advice - try not to place your value as a human being in your physical attributes. Value yourself for who you are as an individual - your character, your being, your essence. Don't look at yourself through the eyes of other people. What standards are you using to judge your appearance? The narrow beauty standards in society? Love yourself and others will follow. I know this is a hard mentality to embrace - I am still struggling with it, but trust me, it will be worth it in the long run. When you leave this world, people will be more apt to remember your character and the type of human being you were than your physical appearance. Plus, you look fine. Focus on the things in this life that you have control over and forget about the shit that you have no control over. Trust me, you will just drive yourself insane trying to control what lies beyond your purview. You have no control over your hair loss. Forget about it. Move on. Work on developing your character. I went bald in my early 30s, i was devastated to be honest, however my daughter was diagnosed with leukaemia when she was 3, luckily for us she made a full recovery, what im trying to say there is there is worse things in life can happen as long as you got your health, thats the most important.

I think everyone has "shavers remorse" immediately after doing it - I know I did! However, a couple of things... There's the 'subjective' viewpoint, which is presently your viewpoint because you're the one doing this. And there's the 'objective' viewpoint, which is the outsiders viewpoint - in this specific instance, me. With time you'll get a better grasp on becoming a little more 'objective' about it yourself, too, I guarantee that. So, my view; Firstly you have exactly the right head shape for this, period. Some don't but luckily you definitely do.. Secondly your face also is suited to it and again, that's a lot less so for others. It makes your eyes stand out, as well as other facial features too - and that's a big positive. In other words, eyes are now drawn to your face, not your hair, hairline or thinning hair. Period. Thirdly, you'll find that nobody else gives anything even close to a flying sh*t about it - that's because it's all in your head. And it is. People will simply accept you. Fourthly, literally no more worry or concern or paranoia about what's going on atop your head with thinning hair - massive bonus! My advice? I'd literally shave it off. As in literally! Get a decent electric shaver and shave it, then it's done. To me, that action screams 'style choice' and gives a massive confidence boost. Dress smart and clean and honestly, your entire aura will start to manifest as both strong and confident because you'll start to own it. And it doesn't matter how shit you believe your beard to be, have a bit of growth to set it off. Seriously, do consider shaving your head completely though. We're all different of course and I can only speak to my own experience, but simply 'buzzing it' left me (more than) a bit miserable - until I shaved it and bingo, doubts gone! It literally evens everything out.. Personally I'll never grow my hair back again because I now love it shaved and I feel massively more confident as a result, too - bonus! Hope that helps. It's worth a try because you've nothing to lose and potentially everything to gain from it and, as I told myself at the time, you can always grow it back again.. As my Mum always used to tell me; the only difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is about three weeks!

I used hair fibres for three years and it really improved my confidence. I became worried about inhaling the fibres so I did exactly this and shaved my head. I hate it look ridiculous.

There are many people who clipper shave and blade shave their heads because they like the feel and look. I am one of them. A few hours ago I zero guard clipper cut my head, then blade shaved my head. Because it makes you look less like a cancer patient. Either he shaves it or he gets on finasteride, topical anti androgen, ketoconazol, minoxidil and microneedling + transplant in the future. I am choosing path 2 cause I know my granddads didn't go fully bald either without treatment. I imagine shaving every other day takes longer than applying some liquid once a day and microneedling once a week.

But if you're not yet used to the whole thing then you could shave to like grade 4 on top and grade 2 on the sides. This has the benefit of letting other people get used to it before you go the whole hog too. But fully shaved looks fine.

Barber here and fellow bald guy- you can definitely rock the buzzed look, your head is shaped well for a cut like this. I’d even suggest visiting a barber and getting a skin fade on the sides with a nice short length on the top.

Personally don't think your hair was that thin to warrant shaving it yet , but when your hair is shaved you genuinely feel better for doing it as every morning you wake up you just wash and go , no pouncing around brushing it etc

Looks great mate, once you get used to it you’ll love it too and stop feeling self conscious. I done mine around a year ago, while not ideal and I’d rather have hair it’s just part of life! I turned 27 a few weeks ago and my hair is progressively receding and thinning so I feel your pain. But don’t beat yourself up over something you can’t control. Hair loss gets to us all but it doesn’t define character or who you are as a human being. It’s not the end of the world. And hair should not be a requirement for people to like you. They’ll either accept you or they won’t. And if they don’t, it’s not your problem. And besides, now you have no hair to control you. And I see you’re familiar with Baldcafe. Funnily, I thought during your 1 year guitar progress video that your hair was thinning, then I saw this and had to watch. Honestly, it's an improvement. But it's the EXACT same as I remember feeling when I shaved my head almost three years ago. Backed into a (genetic) corner, devastated, I felt I'd lost some of who I was in the mirror and in the world. I realised over time that it was simply a very visible and painful stage of evolution. Shaving your balding head is like being slapped in the face with your mortality, your disappearing or disappeared youth. It hurts. But you ARE lucky that you're a handsome chap, great facial features (makes up for the not super-thick beard!) and you absolutely pull off this look. It's also knocked a few years off you, and will likely keep you static at that perceived age for decades as not much will change other than some wrinkles and greying of your stubble. Well done on being brave enough to share.
