This is a great video. In 2002 my sister shaved my head when I was in hospital for heart surgery. She was a hairdresser and told me that I looked better without hair than with the pieces of hair I had. For years after I still had fragments of down feelings about losing my hair, but I am over it now, being 76 years of age. I don't have hair and I love de shaving my face. No hair is cool and I want to thank you for this video. I am sure it is of help to those who are starting to deal with hair loss. Thank you!

It is interesting vanity is still even a thing at that age, being that the average male age is 74 you're lucky (or unlucky whichever way you look at it) to still be alive let alone still have strands of hair on your head to worry about. Even though your comment was 3 years ago, if you're still alive and kicking hope you're well and having fun.

Man, i`ve been balding since my early 20s. i`m 29 now and only started shaving in januari this year. I always said if it got to a point where it looks ridiculous i would shave it, but the step was abit harder. Also like you guys, my girlfriend didnt want me to shave it down. One day i was like, screw that ill just do it without her knowing and is was the best decision i`ve ever made. I actually think my head looks better bald then it ever looked with the hair on it. Although i already accepted my baldness, i still really like this channel and the things you do for men who are struggling with it!!

I totally agree with u guys. I used to use hair treatment like Propecia and Minoxdil but though they do work to some degree, it's a waste of time and money in my opinion. After doing the maths, it's just better to shave it all off and be confident about it. I'm lucky enough to have a good head-shape like yours and I've been shaving for the past 5years.

Hey mate. I started balding since I turned 18. I prevented my hair loss 3 times. It would become very thin, and I could make it very thick in just a few months. But now, as a 25 years old guy, my hair started thinning again. I was talking with my doctor. She sais that all of my follicules are in a very good condition, but dht is eating up the root of my hair. That is why it's falling out. She says that a good nutrition, exercize and a good hair lotion can thicken my hair again. But the problem is - I'm a muscular guy, eating healthy and exercizing every other day, my hair is getting better every day, but somehow I'm very tired, I feel like my hairloss is preventing me from fully enjoying my life, but I DO NOT LIKE it how I look bald, and I become even more insecure when I cut my hair. I really don't know what to do. It's freaking me out.

In my opinion, I think something to help compliment a bald head, is a strong neck... having a pencil neck can make a bald head maybe seem a little weirder. My advice? go read online or buy the book “convict conditioning 2” and read the Neck chapter and work your necks and give yourself a badass look! Plus, strengthening your neck is something you CAN control & it never hurts to have a strong, sturdy neck supporting and protecting the most important part of your body (your brain)

I noticed I was going bald at age 14 then shaved my head at 16, I'm 20 now and had grown it back for 6 months to see how bad it had gotten and it was a lot thinner on top so I just shaved it off again with a 0 guard, i prefer being bald, makes me look more intimidating also noticed the more hair I lost the more facial hair I was able to grow

I cannot believe there is so much issue with 'baldness'! For some men (The Rock etc) baldness suits them more than hair! If you are losing your hair please shave it off and rock the look! Facial hair, tans, muscles help to.

Great video. I progressively lost my hair from mid thirties to now late forties. So I was lucky that it wasn't as early as many people. As I lost it I gradually clipped it shorter and shorter. Eventually I just couldn't be bothered with it and took the guard off for a #0. Ironically I change my hair style more now than I used to. I always kept the same hairstyle but now I don't have any I play with the length of my stubble/beard instead.

But it's gotten to point last 6 months the thinning is more noticeable and that haircut is barely holding onto dear life. I'm in a business wear if I film models weddings etc. Even though I'm behind the camera it does effect me with the "image thing" when to decide to shave the whole lot off or keep wearing my French hats to hide it 🙄. Teaching school was the hardest - kids can be brutal especially if they know it bothers you. It was also embarrassing for people to assume you are the grandfather, instead of the father. Even my parents wouldn’t really accept my buzzes but their generation didn’t think the George Jefferson head was just fine. Not sure my wife really likes it bald, but she doesn’t have to live with it. Since I take care of it myself now we save money. The pandemic pushed me into going totally bald and gave me confidence in doing it.

I shaved my head and hated it.. I don’t have a good head shape for being bald as my forehead is pretty big. Then I got back handed comments from friends and family when they thought I was not around “it looks so bad” *laughter*. It shattered me into deep depression.. Going bald slowly sucks. My hair used to help shape my head in a really nice way.. And I truly believe my hair is a big proponent in regards to my depression.. I have a patch in the back of my head and it’s an obvious bald spot. My hair is getting thin and receding in the edges. Started getting comments at 20 and noticed it at 21 personally.. now it’s unhide-able.. I’m only 25 so I feel like I am being chipped short before I even reach my physical peak in life.

I've had the same issue with family telling me "you don't need it any shorter than that." I find that attitude very unsupportive. My girlfriend once told me that I didn't need to shave my hair off "yet" and I said "Yet!? Well then do you think I'll look bad when I DO have to shave it off." I explained to her that saying that would put the idea in my head that she won't like how I look when I do shave it off and even if she tells me she likes then new look, I'll always think "yeah, but you told me to keep the hair as long as I could." When I explained that to her, she totally got it. My mum REALLY doesn't like the idea of a shaved head. My dad was bald, but just kept whatever hair he had at the sides. I'm always telling her that a bald head looks much better. Different mentality I guess.

I'm curious about something I believe no one has touched on. I love the bald shave and feel. And I think it looks cool. But, sometimes I worry about the shaved look while sporting a beard as I'm unemployed and think it may put some employers off in hiring you. People get the wrong idea about men with beards and shaved heads. Some may think you're going to be difficult or maybe troublesome to deal with. Personally, I'm an easy going guy who doesn't like any trouble and have a black belt in karate. But people misjudge you if you shave your head. What have been your experiences with this and for those who are also unemployed and worrying about the same issue?

Sir, its really great that you have a lot of self confidence being with no hair, that you think there are many other issues in lifen more important, and also the fact you look better than before and the way you build this channel to share us. But i think, just maybe mention that you also bring emotional help to your suscribers that have big balls to fight for their hair, even when have a damn fact like genetics, that want to fuck it up and treat themselves, because being bald is not the way to make them happy. Just a simple idea. Great videos.

Too many guys who decide to go totally 'shaved head' try to compensate by growing a beard very full and long. I think it's a mistake. Trimming your beard closer to the face, or even some stubble, looks far better in my opinion

I just don't see how SMP is manageable, surely you'd need to shave your head at least once a day to maintain symmetry with the tattoo and your natural hair growth? What happens if you can't shave your head for some reason or just feel like not doing it for once you're gonna have a weird as hell hairline going on. I also heard it only lasts a few years and then you have to go back for "touch ups" sounds like a very expensive life long commitment.

Hair loss is truly unfathomable. I've been gradually losing hair since I was 19, at that point in both of your lives and for the next 6-7 years you had full heads of hair. Not that I know what it would look like if the both of you were to let it grow for a while, but the loss is incredibly abrupt. Within 2 years almost all of your hair was gone. Not like I'm thriving over here, but I've maintained the majority of it.

It would be good, (unless you have already done it, new to the channel) to do the beard and bald episode . The myth that all men grow beards to compensate for going bald should be looked at. With my own experience, I would strongly disagree, I have had my hair down to my shoulders, as well as short, one thing I've always had since my late 20s is some kind of facial hair, when ever I shaved my beard off, I was always told to grow it back, by men and women. A beard can give your face character and shape also hide any weaknesses.

People have died because of hair transplants. One even lost his eye due to it. I went for a check up, but wasn't a good candidate. So, these kind of people shave their heads. People have gotten erectile dysfunction because of Propecia. Propecia is funny, will you take the risk of getting erectile dysfunction for hair, kinda ironic since you wanna feel attractive? Minoxidil has given people palpitations and the results aren't even permanent and stop after a few years, further more, it only helps the crown area. Hair pieces are okay, but I used one and I got a bad rash after two weeks, and it bled. I checked online and someone actually got a staph infection because of a rash they got from wearing a system. What's worse is you are always paranoid if the system will lift or if someone will find out if it is fake due to the difference in your natural hair color and the prosthetic hair color. The maintenance is a drag. Taking the glue off is hard. It's expensive as well, you will become a slave to it. All in all, too many risks are involved with getting "treatment". Many people hate the idea of spending so much money and becoming a slave to their "treatments". It's like every treatment is like you are paying for a possibility to die. You can say, oh they are just a minority, but what if you are in that minority? That risk is too much and these kind of people just want to move on from this issue, so shaving becomes their style. The whole point of all of this is to move on and be done with it.

Long ago I was in Miami in an elevator and wearing a Blond wig. These two guys saw another bald guy getting out of the Elevator and started making Bald jokes behind this guy. They said they always laugh at people shaving their heads as if it is a cure all. They then told me I looked like Slim Shady. They had no idea I was wearing a full cap wig with to cover up scars from bad transplants. Trust me they will talk behind your backs and Laugh at you. They may not do it in front of you but they will behind your backs. Baldness is not for every person. I shaved my head one time and never ever again. I am sure many know my story of Corrective surgery and being on the Stop and Regrow Program in Beverly Hills. I think it would be a Traumatic as Rob Lowe said of Prince William to be bald. The bias against bald The US Psychologist Thomas Cash has conducted some of the most extensive studies into baldness, how it affects the men who suffer from it, and how the rest of the world sees them. And in a series of studies, Professor Cash has shown that, yes, bald men often have a poor self-image and modern western society has a bias against them. After interviewing thousands of men suffering from hair loss, he concluded; "Men can feel that their attractiveness is diminishing and being bald worsens their chances for dating and mating." In a study that looked at bias, Professor Cash showed people photographs of contrasting bald and hirsute men and (without mentioning their hair of lack of) asked them to rate the men for qualities such as self-assertiveness, social attractiveness, intelligence, life-success, personal likability, physical attractiveness and perceived age. The result? Professor Cash found that; "The bald or balding models were perceived more negatively on every dimension except intelligence". The study found that when people were shown photographs of bald men and asked to estimate how old they were, they added an average of three years and nine months to the men's actual age. Men with a full head of hair had an average of two years and five months taken off. Health & Living Never liked that look even at age 6 when I would see my dad bald. Still don't. The study on it is above. Do not attack the Messenger. I am just Presenting the Facts of how Most, again Most Human Beings see Bald. This man has studied this since 1988 so he is no Novice at this stuff. Here is Rob Lowes comments on Prince William: Lowe's response? "That’s a low bar. Can we talk about William?" He brought up the thinning hair of the 36-year-old Duke of Cambridge, which has left the top of his head almost entirely bald. "The future king of your country let himself lose his own hair, so (that's why) I say British men set a very low bar." Lowe continued: "Honestly, one of the great traumatic experiences of my life was watching Prince William lose his hair. He’s going to be the (expletive) king of England!“ Rob Lowe has a point but he does not understand balding. He thinks you just take a Pill and Wella Hair appears. Not so simple. The Pill looses its effects after years and also you must start this very early for it to work. It also can kill ones sex drive so not so simple. I will say Rob Lowe is very ignorant on the subject. IMO.
