For those wondering: chama its like an "LET'S GO" in brazilian portuguese. It can also mean "flame" or "call" depending on the context.

Yeah its a mistranslation, chama is being used as a slang for "call it" like an automatic answer for an hypothetycal question: "can i call you in so we can do something together?", "yes you can, call me in"... Its used in that context but shortened and slangned to serve the purpose of "lets go" for questions that havent been asked yet, the UFC athlete popularized it, but its really niche to be used like that

@@HoughStone Sem querer ser o chatão, mas você se equivocou, na verdade chama é uma conjugação verbal do verbo "chamar", no caso que você citou, por exemplo, é no imperativo afirmativo, onde você ordena que a pessoa faça algo, por isso é escrito dessa forma. Posso te chamar? Sim, chama(ordem para que a pessoa o faça).

@@HygorCarreiro sim sim, nunca referi a chama como se fosse uma gíria e não um verbo de forma mutuamente exclusiva, esta sendo usada como ambos ao mesmo tempo. Só não pesquisei ou citei os tipos específicos de verbo porque isso não se faz muito util em uma discussão de internet. Por isso n percebo o equívoco q vc pode estar vendo. So for it to be used as letsgo is kind of (but not really) a mistranslation, there are better words used moro commonly, this is more of a sports/esports slang for young people.
