Janet Rojas I’m betting it’s because she has a dark band of the dark tat has grown out that is to dark next to her lighter natural regrowth. Since it’s just shades EQ it’s not to permanent and it and the darker band will get lighter over time with each session. If she didn’t do the 5 at the regrowth she would have a candy corn look.

Jessi I’m seeing haters. You do great work and I don’t know about you but sometimes clients will not listen either about damage....they want what they want but talking them a few steps down as far as processes is good too. Even if this girl’s hair is damaged, I can guarantee that it feels better due to you doing it than someone else. You can’t tell some of these people no. Keep up the good work!

Question? What was the point of doing the paint in between if you basically went and smudged her with the same color in the end? Just curious, I’ve seen quite a few stylists do this and I don’t understand. Could you please help!

Kacey Barrett typically needs full processing time when going darker, especially with hair that is naturally lighter

Kate Wilkinson then why didn’t she just do that all at once with the smudge at the end. Why do the paint inbetween? I understand if she did the 5n paint inbetween and then formulated a lighter color to smudge with for dimension. But she just used the same color, so why not do it at once?

Because shades is so translucent so on blonde it goes on more like a 6 ish

I am glad you did that hair! Different textures have the same issues in common. We could learn so much from each other as different races tackling the same hair issues. Thinning, damage, tension alopecia etc .

Thank goodness for jessi! Her hair was a wreck. I would be absolutely terrified to touch that with any bleach. I would highly recommend leaving it alone! 💁 but once again, jessi comes through with another gorgeous color correction! And 9:40 👀👌

I'm confused. How can she grow her hair out when it's re-dyed dark brown. Her blonde roots will show. Plus if she wants to be blonder why did you dye her hair dark brown again?

It would have been difficult to get a good lift doing a normal bleach process, and try to bleach the 5 out of the whole head, so because she's doing it slower in more than one process she decided to go for highlights to get maximum lift on those pieces and keep the dark base.

Also she used shades and not a permanent so that will fade out eventually and they'll just bleach more of the 5 permanent out every time she comes in

A true colour correction would be to assess the hairs porosity and integrity, and remove that dark band where the hair is strongest , then balance the ends with minimal damage . Not slap bleach over already broken bleached split ends then dump more pigment just to blur the lines between healthy coloured hair & damaged ends . Your title says going blonde .? Don’t get me wrong I love your videos and your salon is beautiful but sometimes it’s just the same foil & toner videos x

Regarding taking pictures, yes, I'd like some input as when I take them with my phone it seems it NEVER does the color justice.
