I noticed a few leaves in the water when your outboard was smoking , if it is a matter of the water intakes getting clogged with leaves , a brush on a stick to clean off the intake might do the trick

Benny, I have a fiberglass sailboat. There is a cover over my hatch like the wooden one you just installed. You can paint all sides with epoxy & paint and it will be weather proof & durable. 🤗 Good luck! ⛵🐕🇺🇸👍

It’s quite wild with the weather here in the USA; Maine. We have been experiencing wild/ warmer, some cooler days then warmer days and Yes it’s the middle of November now.
