5:04 - TLDR: Pot saved my mom from becoming a pill head My mom got in a really bad car accident and almost had to have both of her feet amputated. They put her on painkillers, and when the pills started to not work, she told her doctor, and they just kept giving her more pills. She would've became a pill head if she didn't start smoking medical marijuana instead. She doesn't even get high from it anymore, it's only for pain relief. So there's one case where weed actually helped someone
@enderforces70132 ай бұрын
weed has basically no side effects and the chances of having permanent damage from weed is so incredibly low it's not even worth mentioning. Especially if you use vapor or other ways to assume it other than smoking it. Smoking it can actually be annoying cause burning the oils produces acrolein and other nasty chemicals that can irritate your membranes. So yea, anyone who is against legalizing weed and also drinks alcohol is hypocritical garbage. Like if you don't drink or smoke, it's a lifestyle and you're entitled to your opinion on legalizing stuff or not, but if you drink and are against people who smoke, you're just a butthurt idiot.

@WoobooRidesAgain2 ай бұрын
@@cheyennec5546 It's (probably) not money laundering, but it _is_ a whole lot of manipulation with more than a bit of astroturfing involved. Your average conservative film has about the same budget as an Asylum production - 'Am I A Racist' cost about $3 mil to make, which makes it about a million more expensive than 'Sharknado' and ten million less than its obvious inspiration, Borat 2 - and that makes it piss easy to both market and distribute. The studios making these films are largely funded by wealthy conservative interests (and as the Tenet Media scandal has proven, likely more than a few 'foreign investors') who really don't stand to lose much of anything if the film bombs, and by the definition of being cheaper than most Z-tier films, that's all but impossible even before the fact that conservatives will watch anything that even remotely panders to them. These films are made for absurdly cheap budgets even compared to most modern independent productions, pander to people who would buy canned cat vomit if it meant owning the libs and whose personality solely consists of never shutting up about their politics, and have premises and feature personalities so toxic that it baits media outlets into covering them for free advertising. And that's before we get into the deceptive practices involved in these films: 'A Sound of Freedom' largely owes it's $250 million dollar return on a $14.5 million dollar investment to the cultish atmosphere surrounding Operation Underground Railroad at the time, and their leader Tim Ballard. Ballard begged people who wanted to see the film and those already primed to support to buy multiple tickets via their 'Pay It Forward' scheme. There's simply no way to know how much of that $250 million came from genuine, one-time-only ticket purchases and how much of it is the result of O.U.R followers, employees or associates of the production company Angel Studios buying armfuls of tickets.

As with many words, equity and equality can have complex scholastic definitions, but as often used equity refers to the equality of outcome and equality refers to the equality of opportunity. With that understanding they are mutually exclusive concepts. For example if 16 women and 4 men are all competing for the same 2 nursing positions, equity (in this example of sex) would mean hiring 1 man and 1 women. The outcome is equal but their is no equality of opportunity. Equality would be treating all 20 applicants the same regardless of their sex, and hiring purely based on how well suited they are for the position. This is why you will here plenty of people often right-leaning but not always, espouse that equity is evil or the like, but equality is an obvious good.

The issue with "woke" movies isn't that they are woke, it's that they are funded and written by out of touch rich crazies who think that the only thing a movie needs to make money is to be woke. Thus, they push out a "woke" cash grab that's horribly written. The "anti-woke" cash grab movies are just as bad for the same reasons. Actually "woke" shows and movies don't get any media attention for being woke, because the focus was making a good show or movie. The people making said show or movie just happen to have progressive beliefs which are well reflected and accurately represented in the piece of media they are making. Ultimately if someone is making a piece of media primarily to push an ideology or to attack an ideology, that is the best way to make a horrible piece of media. The primary focus should be on making a quality well written story.
