‘Oh my god’ is the correct response to Gojira. It was fun watching you deal with the wall of sound.. but also absorb the passionate and meaningful singing and lyrics.

I would say this band is worthy of a full look. To get you into it I'll give a well rounded list of their different aspects but all heavy. Also, they are extremely good in live performances. Flying Whales, studio version. The Art of Dying live at Vieilles, Oroborus - live or studio, Pray - Live at Red rocks and Silvera Official Video.. That should be enough for you to know if you dig it or not.... my guess is that you will be a fan :).. EDIT: Gift of Guilt live... Had to throw that on the end as a gift, lol

I never cared much for this album. Other than mouth of kala... and some of the outro's on this album keep me fast forwarding and repeating them over and over... therefore oddly enough became a fan, the entirety of the (magma album) is awesome, especially 1st thing in the morning. Listening to it, going to a dreaded job is quite uplifting. Best metal album I've heard that doesn't peek my rage in the morning for sure!...

It pays off to watch live videos of Gojira, if it's only to be sure drummer Mario Duplantier is real. :) And the recordings tend to be even better live than in the studio for some reason.
