My favorite metal band of all time. The Axe, From the Sky and Remembrance are fantastic songs to get an idea of how they truly are as a band at the core. The entire Terra Incognita album is basically a riff masterpiece.

I love your comment at the end of the song “yeah.. heavy!” And this is one of their friendliest songs :) They are incredible - they are smart, passionate, and vulnerable lyrically, and started as an OG Death Metal/Groove Metal band in 1996. They’ve evolved over time into their own category.. called Gojira. They very much have their own sound. More current might be Born for One Thing, but old school would be the Ouroboros live version at Eurockeennes mentioned by Paul Atreides in the comments. Shockingly energetic performance.

Joe (Singer) plays a signature Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas guitar that has Tele style and 2 humbuckers, this is a great band, awesome drummer, awesome bassist, guitars and kinda unique style vocals and music. This song I'd say is mid heaviness for their catalog.
