It would’ve been neat if after Zamazu’s wish and the evil containment wave we got the revival of Future Gohan and a sparring match with him in the story. What Gohan is this supposed to be? One thing i think you forgot to mention that the Gohan from the What if during his Mystic Transformation had a rage boost. A boost the cannon gohan didn't get. Also they missed a huge chance to have it be future gohan black. Which is way cooler.

My guess would be gohan black just because fohan has more potential than goku and therefore gohan black should have more potential than goku black did as well than the ultimate form seems to be relative to potentially superior to the blue form so divine potential (gohan blacks ultimate form) should be relative if not better than ssj rose

What's the point in using DB Heroes? You said it yourself, Xeno Goku Black got that strong mostly through external factors (E.G.: Time Breaker Mask and the energy accumulated from the fake universe) lol. Also, in the OG Future Trunks arc Goku, Trunks and Vegeta all three surpassed Goku Black at the end since they were capable of overpowering Fusion Zamasu in beam struggles (especially Goku since he damaged Fusion Zamasu and deformed him with a full power kamehameha), just like Gohan and Trunks in the What if.

I wouldn't at all use Dragonball Heroes variations in such a topic like this or understand why doing so. We didn't need to go into Heroes to understand Goku Black has great potential, Heroes is inconsistent in power constantly and characters get insane power ups just for more dramatic flair. If Goku Black in the original timeline had such an insane growth like Heroes then there would be no hope, Goku Black wouldn't even feel concerned to use fusion. Goku Black would outright solo Vegito blue if it was Heroes. The Heroes Goku Black isn't even the same one and has completely different scaling to a series that has versions of Goku that could 1 tap current Goku in canon while being in base. You can't compare canon Dragonball to Heroes. Especially when one of the characters doesn't even have a Heroes counterpart, that is what I think at least.

@@nickalas666It would make sense if they decided that Gohan should partake in the Destroyer Tournament and was pushed to his limits to get back into shape and Zamasu seeing Gohan as blasphemous for obtaining power through gods (the ultimate ritual) even tho he is just a mortal that should “know his place” and become insecure of Gohan’s power. Then have Trunks be terrorized by fighting someone that has the same image of his past master. Then it gives even more plot reasons to show Gohan improving and training and seeing the results of his training by showing the constant back and forth between Gohan and Gohan Black. Then for thematic reasons have the hybrid saiyans be the ones who have most of the spot light instead of Vegeta and Goku which goes all the way back to the Cell Arc where Goku wanted the new generation (Gohan SSJ2) to be the ones that save Earth in the future. Then the Super Hero movie probably would have sat better with people who feel like Gohan’s power up was undeserved, even tho Gohan has been training since his embarrassing encounter with Frieza. But seeing Gohan more in the story and seeing his improvements instead of just hearing about it occasionally would have been better writing.
