Saiyans eat 30 - 40 meals a day to keep up their metabolism and can eat more than logically possible. For example, when Goku was a kid he consumed 57 full course meals in one sitting and still had room for dessert. And Saiyans eat a lot of food imediatelly before a big fight and do not suffer from cramps the way humans do by doing this it actually helps them.

KamektheMagikoopa1 He is, it fits his character and personality more, Schemmel makes him sound like the big brave hero that's going to save everyone and fight for peace and justice... but Goku is not like that, he is a stupid man child who grew up in a Forrest not knowing what girls are for the 1st like 11 years of his life (i forgot how old he was) and he cares about eating, fighting, training, eating again, fighting again, and his family/friends.. but apart from them he doesn't really care about the rest of the world, hense why he killed SOO many people when he was young, still though if you don't agree then that is perfectly fine :) stick to your dub if you want to

MechaMinilla99 man im glad youre in the minority with that opinion. Goku has evolved since then, mentally, physically. Basically every character has, look at vegeta, or should I say Chris Sabat, he still has his pride but you see empathy coming from him, mercy, compassion. With Goku, we are seeing him be more ruthless and pragmatic, Sean is timeless, from the son goku speech in kai, to the first saiyan transformation. He represents every facet of goku, not just "brave hero, that's going to save everyone". Besides, that's the point. Goku is like that to western audiences. he's basically superman in our eyes and schemmel is the second to none at portraying that.

Joel Santiago Uh huh.. and I'm glad I'm not in that majority that agrees with you, you can think what you want it's perfectly fine if you prefer the dub, but Goku is and never actually was a Superman type character, Funimation just didn't do hardly any research back when they 1st dubbed it (it wasn't really their fault though as the internet wasn't a big thing back then) yes now they know what Dragon Ball is meant to be like and they are getting more faithful but the damage has already been done, also yes Vegeta has evolved and i love the fact he has evolved.... but Chris Sabats performance wasn't why it happened.. Ryo Horikawa has done the exact same thing as they are both following a script, Chris Sabat got the character he was portraying right but gave him a stupid overly aggressive voice but he has made it a bit better over the years, also Sean is not a bad voice actor at all, he does a good job with his voices but to me and a shit ton of other people (including Toriyama.. the person that created Goku) Seans voice is just not meant to come out of Goku's body, he does a good job with Goku but he doesn't portray him properly, anyway its all up to opinion at the end of the day to which ones you prefer but its true that Masako Nozawa understands and portrays Goku's character better

I, too, like the english voice of Goku a lot. It's really good and it's the one I'm used to and grew up with. With that said I really don't dislike the japanese dub. At first I thought he sounded ridiculous but it really grew on me. Now I like them equally. They both do a great job voice acting Goku.

The whole prospect of other Saiyans isn't that big of a deal to me. Saiyans were pirates and warriors, there should have been dozens, hundreds maybe off planet that were in the process of destroying them for Frieza. The whole point is that if Vegeta or Goku meets them, Goku would probably kick the shit out of them for being evil, Vegeta might not care about being the King since it would mean abandoning the ones he loves.
