"Why haven't they tried this already with Cell?" Honestly, that's an interesting point - you can see the ways the movies bend the world to allow for more traditional, "movie" endings. From this to Broly to 13, in the movies they band together to combine powers or figure out some ultimate technique (think Goku fisting Broly or "Spirit Saiyan" from 13) whereas the manga/show is more about individual characters triumphing through sheer will and effort. In the actual canon, combining powers rarely works - it only adds powers together, and since the average villain is usually leagues above everyone, that doesn't help. Power wise, 10 + 10 (adding powers) ain't the same as 10 * 10 (going SS). This is why most canon fights are endurance battles or transformation curbstomps. It really highlights the difference in the movies, and why it's so hard to adapt DBZ into a satisfying short-form movie.

You might not fully understand certain references, or relationships between characters, but DBZ presents most of that well enough that it could stand on its own almost just as well had all of that been nothing but backstory.

Okay, this is one of my favorite bits of music trivia. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra song (at around 14:15) is called "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo" and while it's remarkably similar to Carol of the Bells, it's based on a Ukranian song called Shchedryk (which is ALSO an inspiration for Carol of the Bells, which is why they sound so similar). Christmas Eve/Sarajevo is an orchestral piece about Vedran Smailović, the cellist of Sarajevo. Vedran Smailović played his cello in a bombed out town square for 22 days in memory of the victims who were killed there, hence his title. Also Christmas Eve/Sarajevo was originally written and recorded by a group named Savatage, but many of its members ALSO belong to Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and they re-released the song under the new name, where it went famous.

Ok SO the reason some of us don't know this is it was originally a Japan only release in the 90s called "plan to eradicate the Super Sayians" which was part of a computer game of the same name. It dealt with a final scientist of the Tuffles (dragon ball GT i think?) coming to earth kill the last of the saiyans. It was also released in 2003 dragon ball z box set and reanimated as released as an extra with the Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2 video game. (hence why when they talk about Trunks the animation style changes to an "older" looking style)

If you want to try eggnog, make it from scratch. I've made myself a bunch of nog already this year. Wisest if you use pasteurized eggs, since they don't get cooked. But, there's usually enough liquor in a nog to kill any bacteria. Grinding your nutmeg yourself is also for the best, since fresh nutmeg is so much more potent.

The men in my family like eggnog, my mom and wife aren't fans. Now that I'm almost 30 I occasionally spike it with a half shot of vodka.
