Doomsday is one of the strongest Superman villains. Superman actually needs not only to go all out strength-wise but also use all of his smarts and skill to stop him. Goku isn't ready for the cosmic mugging Doomsday is going to hand him. It'd actually be dope seeing Doomsday adapt to UI. Goku's primary weapon (aside from physical blows) is energy attacks, which we've directly seen a weaker Doomsday adapt to and literally one shot a being of energy by punching. And saying Doomsday never surpassed his Hunter/Prey power levels is downplay of the highest order. Doomsday is always getting stronger, just like Goku and Superman.

Goku's definitely way faster, more skilled and smarter than Doomsday. And it would be extremely difficult for Doomsday to even land a hit on Goku in the beginning. But that's about it. Doomsday's insane durability, invulnerability, healing factor, brute strength and immortality would make him the winner. Goku would eventually tire out, which would open the opportunity for Doomsday to land lethal shots at Goku. I'm pretty sure Goku would have a second wind, power up for a bit and ragdoll Doomsday. But that's not gonna kill him and Goku would eventually tire out again trying to speed blitz and kill Doomsday. Doomsday would get him eventually when Goku gets extremely exhausted.

Kid buu pulled up to and destroyed earth on site who really doesn’t gaf😐 then went to heaven after seeing instant transmission 1 time and immediately perfected it, then proceeded to go to heaven, pretty sure that’s great adaptability, and starts killing people in heaven again doesn’t gaf and if it wasn’t for goku gaining energy from all of earth and namek buu would’ve destroyed the universe not even beerus could stop him at that point bc the surpreme Kai would be dead😐
