See? Even you guys are tired of seeing Goku getting his ass whooped(as I was/am) and being the underdog every single time/every new powerful opponent that comes up. Jiren wrecked him as well. Instead of sticking to the mainstream cliche stuff and rooting for a lost cause/Goku, why don't you root for Arale or Saitama or Popeye the sailor or Squirrel Girl ect ect? Then you will get the satisfaction you want.

We root for Saitama because he gives us what Goku and tons of mainstream characters couldn't. The satisfaction of easy peasy wins, the sense/feeling of overwhelming power. He may lose in food contests, rock paper scissors, video games ect but when it comes down to fighting he is designed to simply be the best and with ease. :)

TBH he is not a broken character he clearly didnt one punch boros who is only star buster and goku is on universal level they only make him this strong for goku to overcome him and we know that there is going to be a rematch. Parody and gag charcters are different. Gag charcters have toon force which he doesnt, and they dont go through logic but saitama does even he states that he cannot fly if he was one then would have been able to fly.

But... But... In reality, Saitama scales to Perfect Cell, if not a bit stronger. I don't think Saitama is universal like characters from Dragon Ball Super. But that's just my opinion! If it turns out that Saitama is really universe level, then cool! But keep in mind that Saitama took damage from Boros and Boros is about on Final Form Frieza's level. But that's just what I think! :)

Damage? Scratches where? If you mean dusty/roughed up look-please, even Deep Sea King left a dusty/roughed up mark on Saitama's bald head, even smoke shown. But still as Saitama said-Too weak of a punch. The context clearly points that it was Boros assumption/wishful thinking that he hurt Saitama, because right after that he started the cliche self boasting monologue-in which Saitama responded with an absolutely bored face "Blah blah blah" and to top it all, Boros dying words "I never stood a chance, this wasn't even a battle for you, you are just too strong". :)
