Yes, 6 feet of scrubbing section with lifters to tumble the material - sealed electric motors with gear reducers and chains/belts have proven to be the best because simple, reliable, no hydraulic fluid, etc. - the skinny sluice is just to get the slurry out away from the trommel to have room to set up larger sluices. thanks, Joel

Brian, 1) Any generator over 1,000 watts will work. 2) I'm running between 30 and 50 gallons per minute ( or 2,400 gallons per hour)

Nice trommel design! So the first two thirds of the trommel are 'slick' plate for washing the rocks, or are there some kind of agitators sticking up? It looks like you are running this with an electric motor and then powering with a generator - I assume the electric motor has more torque?? Why the skinny chute to the sluice? Love the grizzly vibrating action! I am gonna build a trommel in the near future - this design is inspirational - thanks for sharing!

I have been on your site a few times and did not see this unit for sale. Is it a prototype? Really nice unit!

Bobbydemar88, You must be looking at my international dealer’s website, and no it's not a production model. I made this unit for testing my own properties and now has expanded into testing for other mining companies. This unit is designed for "first look" bulk testing of up to 50 yards per day to evaluate whether or not large scale testing or production is justified. Thanks, Joel

two questions Joel; 1 what size is the generator and 2. what is the GPH for the unit. Thanks, Brian
