Gold & Silver Price Start to PLUMMET - Is the Rally OVER?

In this video I look at gold price and silver price and how they have come down significantly over the last 2 days. On WED, March 20th gold hit an all time high. Since then gold has dropped considerably and silver has dropped nearly $1. Why is silver price down and why is gold price down? The USD is surging because the Swiss National Bank decided to start cutting rates. When a central bank starts cutting rates this usually makes the currency weaker. Because the Swill Franc is getting weaker this is making the dollar stronger and pushing gold and silver down in dollar terms. Gold surged to an all time high in the Swiss Franc on the back of this news. Is this trend in silver and gold going to continue? I think that once the FED starts cutting rates that will be very bullish for precious metals. Chase Bank is predicting $2,500 gold and I think that is a real possibility.

Its all relative to peoples positions. If you got in to silver before 2019 or even after on a good dip none of this worries you much up or down. Its people who FOMO and overestimated from back in the housing and financial crisis is my guess as to why some are oriented to see it rise. people who have silver eagles that cost them $60 in some cases.

Dips, corrections, people moving in and out of stocks, or just profit taking. Not an issue. Long term appreciation in value is not in doubt. Not for gold, not for silver. Nothing to worry about.

Exactly. I want to see it hit much lower as I am more buy oriented and my position was fought for to be quite low and I don't care if the spot goes lower than my position as I will simply make a big play and spread that out over a few purchases so as to no drive up prices. These are great long term signs as well as sell opportunities for some when these spikes happen.

If we do not FOMO and drive up price with too many fractional or too much at one time then I think we can still see buy opportunities of $1,800/oz on gold before that number leaves us all behind for the last time. It likely would be a short term dip under more specific conditions but when you consider the 15 year trend and where the table is set you can see it.

I heard one economist say that they (the Fed?) want to keep the dollar strong which could delay interest rate decreases. It also seems like there are many factors that could keep inflation high.

The BOJ did raise rates but just by 0.2% the question is always about market expectations here. In the case of Japan what is the expectation of how high the BOJ will go? In the case of the SNB markets weren't expecting the CB to cut rates now and in some respect taken by surprise, this explains the relatively sharp move higher by the USD. I don't expect the same 'surprise' effect when the Fed eventually does cut because it is doing much more market guidance than the SNB with its dot plots. The Fed moves markets when its guidance starts to shift and the market needs to price in more or less cuts.

$2500 is probably low for gold in the next couple years. Silver WILL hit $50, higher I'm not sure. I see $100 oz silver as a possbility on the gold/silver ratio charts but I have trouble getting to that amount with TA on silver futures. Long story short, they are going up.

They lowered interest rates to Zero during the pandemic, some houses doubled in value as a result, and now the media, and real estate board will not allow them to lose value, creating narratives and speculation ie, "housing shortage". So grampa's ole 1963 bungalow with the livingroom ceiling falling in because of a leaking roof for 10 years is listing at 800k, at 7% for a 5 year mortgage. NO JOKE . If rates go down even 1%, that 800K would be a million within a year. Inflation and homeless' would go out of control. Rent, is already over 2k for a one bedroom in most major cities here. Price a house in Buffalo, NY, then the same size house anywhere in Canada, You'll will learn something today about "Global interest rates". Most people that don't live in Canada have no idea. You guys can still buy a house for 50k in Niagra Falls NY, lol, That wouldn't buy a parking spot in Canada. 90% of people under 35 live at home, or inherit their properties.

Real inflation is 10%. This means that Gold and Silver will only be rising going forward. The FED is cornered so deficits will stay high and only move higher. Real inflation = deficit / debt = $3.5T / $34T = 10%. This is it.

I am not an economist at all, but with all due respect, doesn't the US Dollar set the standard for the entire world? I too stack silver for only one reason, to sell it in a few years at a profit. If you are stacking precious metals for barter when the US Dollar collapses, you may have a very long time to wait.
