December is also tax-loss selling season and many miners have not performed well, so they will likely get sold off dragging GDX etc down.

China needs money badly with the irony of their recent find of the "golden cave." What was the valuation? 100B? I asked a friend whether them becoming the biggest exporter will vastly decrease price upsurge vs. silver. So far, I have not heard of any major deposits being found, which makes the silver chart difference even more interesting.

Don't worry, Gold and Silver don't trade on supply and demand. Monetary factors and investment demand are the chief drivers. Who knows how costly it would be to even mine that Gold.

Back in those days the dollar was king. Debt was manageable and government manipulation upon gold was unchallenged. Now BRICS are challenging with central banks buying. Debt out-of-control. January of 2023 gold was elevated to a tier one asset only gold and the dollar are tier one assets. Not bitcoin. It’s really a big deal. But, until the bubble pops ( Teck and crypto) gold will remain sideways. Thanks Jordan ( my favorite gold pimp) great points I have not thought about.
