That was amazing to watch!! The fact that 3 minute passed by and I thought there was still more goes to show how impressive and enjoyable it was to watch❤ Synchronized swimming looks so difficult to do and yet they created such a fluid and magical performance. Synchronized swimming is one of my favourite to watch because of awestruck performances like this! Major congrats to them getting gold!!

I'am not surprise at all, even the British commentator knew, without Russians the Chinese team will get the Gold easily, look at their scores comparison to Tokyo. China is always one step behind the Russian team, but they gradually closed the gap. I was, indeed really shock, when the USA took the Silver rather than Ukraine or Spain.

With the Chinese are achieving so much in recent years, there is no 100% guaranteed Russia will still be ahead if they were not banned from the game this year. I love the Russian skill but China has great improvements in the recent years.

@@elau3742 yes, there's no guarantee at all, look at Tokyo"s Rhythmic Gymnastic and now, no one expected China will top the podium while the Defending Champion Bulgaria slip into fourth. But, as we knew, Russia is the one who raised the bar of this sport, that why I miss them a lot, no one can beat their group routine in Rio 2016. I still Watching their National Championship though. And now I'am cheering for China.

Yep, but I'am glad the Chinese took their position, they are always 1 step closer behind Russia. China also took Gold in RG Group, which is traditionally belong to Russia until they were stoped by the Judges in Tokyo, while the defending Champion Bulgaria falling into 4 place in Paris.

Maybe I’m the odd one out but as a woman I read this and heard the word ‘girls’ as a form of endearment, not condescension. Could be cultural, too. I can easily imagine female sporting teams here referred to endearingly and respectfully as ‘our girls’ in the sporting news, while other places it may not be used that way at all (you’ll have to let me know!).

Guys I want you to know, besides the hardwork of these athletes, the Chinese team was able to win this game is also thanks to Spain's politics in sports. The trainer for the Chinese team is from Spain, she was let go because there were complaints that she was too strict on the athletes, and the way it was handled was really appalling by the Artistic swimming association in Spain. This caused her to seek employment else where and she ended up coaching for the Chinese team that ranked #2 during the Tokyo olympics. This year the Chinese Artistic swimming team led a pretty big difference in their win.

I've been follow this kind of swimming since 2000 when the Russian raised the bar of the spirt in every Olympics, look at their group performanced at Rio Olympics, while China always one step closer behind them. So..I'am not surprised China will take the Gold, but I was surprised when the USA team took the silver instead of Ukraine or Spain.
