Good to see you back, man. Strength to you. I always had a problem "tuning" the head on my banjo. Never was able to hear the "note" in a drum head. I finally bought a drum head torque wrench - and got the same tension all the way around. Once I got the sound I liked, I figured the torque wrench break point and now I can set it precisely the same every time it changes (weather - temperature or humidity - whatever.)

thanks Ralph! it's great to be back! yeah it's not easy to hear the tuning of a banjo head and drum heads, some instruments can be heard easier than others but some are really hard to hear. I'm like you on my own banjos when I start liking the sound of the banjo that's where I stop. usually it is around G sharp or even a little tighter. thanks for watching!
