why youtubers that do DD UE and others dont talk about how UE steals money from drivers that only have UE enabled in their app... if u only have UE enabled u r losing money because you r not getting surge money and surge is applied to UE. I have lost thousands of dollars in the past because of that. I went from about $150-$170 a week down to $20-$50 a week. It’s bad now. DD dropped off some but not nearly that much that much. Never got GH to scan my id so couldn’t try it. Shipt has gone to can as well. Everyone said spark was gonna be pretty good. I’ve seen like two good offers in two weeks. I took a 6 drop curb side today 26 miles turned into 30 and 1.5 hours was really about 2.2. Everything sucks in my market right now.

I couldn't believe how FAR that delivery radius was. A Google result says they can set a max 25 mile delivery radius. Interestingly DD says the radius is dynamic (changing): help.doordash.com/dashers/s/article/What-is-a-Delivery-Radius-or-a-Delivery-Area-on-DoorDash?language=en_US with no set numeric value.

You could call the customer. I’ve had big payouts and called the customer when the restaurant says it was picked up already. If they got their food just hit you got it and drive to customers house and hit complete. If they didn’t get it try to have store remake it with a substitute from the customer. I’ve even paid $7 for an order that paid $30 to get it delivered. So I was $23 to the good for a couple miles. I had a $45 order this week that took an hour but we’ll worth it for delivering two items.

Support told me last time I called about it that I need to call the customer and try to convince them to cancel. But the customer never wants to cancel because they incur a fee. It’s so dumb

I’m from San Antonio as well but I kind of prefer DoorDash more. I even do the pay by time or whatever it s called and it works out really well for me. I drive in the north central zone or Helotes area. Never liked UE but I started using it at the same time in those zones and wow it’s kind of 50/50 for me now.

Another stunt they're pulling is if the customer cancels. Or if the store doesn't have the item they dig in your cancelation rate because of it. I'm at 6% cancelation rate. And I have never canceled an order. And I would say 80 to 90% of what they send me is c*** orders that nobody in their right mind would take like $4 for 12 miles. I got offered one the other day, thirty dollars for ninety seven miles. 😮

Please understand that having a Gold symbol on an offer does not mean that that offer is "high paying." Uber never says this. It simply means that YOU got it INSTEAD of another close driver (who is NOT Gold), because you are Gold. You wouldn't have received it if you were not Gold. That's all that it means. (You are also missing out on offers because Platinum & Diamond drivers are stealing them from you.)

They don’t read it. That’s just to make you think they care. Any changes that come down are solely for the purpose of increasing their profits. Like DD and the mileage pay. They are just keeping more of the base pay by lowering everything to $2 and $1 on stacks. They would not implement anything unless a test showed that they will get to keep more and we get less.

Issue is that they don't pay for calling to cancel these orders anymore. So you just better off to take your losses sooner and and cancel through the app. If you are familiar with how much the order costs, place it yourself and pay for it if you still have a good margin. Did that once on a $69 for 2.5 mile when Taco bell wasn't taking any delivery orders. Found it was just more favorable to me to pay for the order and it still yields amazing pay as it was $35. Of course then, Uber pockets the entire order payment but they at least took care of you well.

You know I've heard of that before. Are we allowed to do that if technically it's a glitched out order? I mean you can order it and complete it via the steps in the app yourself and the app would green light the delivery since it thinks nothings wrong but any chance it'll get flagged? @@YourDriverMike I tried something once (and only once): Went to Papa John's to pick up the order and they told me the customer called and did not want an UE driver to deliver it, rather a PJ's driver only. Somehow, the PJ's made the order twice and so the pizzas were sitting right there, but they wouldn't give them to me to deliver. It was right down the street, about a mile. So I drove to the location, marked the pizzas as delivered ('cause they were, just not by me!) and went on my way. I got the full pay and nary a word sent my way from UE.

⁠ wow. I didn’t notice that. 4.03 was on trip radar then when it changed to 4.02 it was an “exclusive” offer. I see slightly different pay on trip radar vs exclusive all the time. Sometimes it’s a little more sometimes less. They send out different pay amounts to different drivers all the time. There is a video about Uber X doing that. It was a “More Perfect Union” video titled something like “we put 7 drivers in one room” Think about if these companies can skim 1 penny a million times a month how much that is over time. $120,000 a year. Make it ten cents per delivery 1.2 million. That’s why DD steals tips here and there. It adds up over the entire country over time to way more than an $11mil fine. The whole entire system of gig work is a red flag.

Im in the Cleveland market and ive been delivering for a month now. Ive gone from hreen to gold to platinum to diamond. There is literally no difference in the orders at all. At diamond i got a couple orders that were all bells and whistles "exclusive " orders but they are literally the same as any other order. I start out getting trash that i decl8ne then a few orders come in that are more to my liking. I honestly think the tier programs are just one more way to get your anxiety racing, just like a video game. My AR stays between 40 and 50%, but never more than 50%. Yeah i get the 6.09 for 22 miles or 4.23 for 55 minutes. Wild that those offers come through

I was gifted a Gold trial on uber eats for 7 days because I would have initially been gold had they not updated the requirements and let me tell you the offers I have gotten being on gold have not panned out I would never start taking trash orders just to stay gold because testing it out for myself now is not worth it

I live in a largely spread out city of over a million people and my area is the Northeast but often I'll get an order that takes me to say downtown. Okay fine. But then I get an order that takes me further south. Okay so far. Then I get an order that takes me way south and before you know it I'm 40 miles from where I started. Now I try to be careful what I accept but sometimes I don't pay close enough attention and get caught again.

Uber’s answer is to cancel the order on your behalf and have you in the contract absolving themselves of any legal obligation. Everyone else agreed to the contract you did what you said you were gonna do someone didn’t but they talk you into deciding out of it.

You end up accepting those $4 orders for a mile but then when you get to the restaurant you're there waiting for a Whole 30 minutes. It's a Risk. Usually not worth it.

For me trip radar is where the better paying offers are. I’ve been relegated to only no tip offers, usually 6 plus mile trips for $2-$3. I’ve seen 14 miles for $3 and then got $5 for 1.2 miles right after. $7 2.5 ish miles the other day on trip radar. The algo knows what I’ll actually take and it puts those offers out to everyone. Only upside down exclusives for Steve. lol. There’s nothing exclusive about it though. Every upside trip radar that I see gets sent immediately after as an exclusive.

Use a hot bag and a beverage caddy. It keeps things warm for longer and looks more professional. Once you have the order in your car, text the customer your ETA in minutes and a clock time to set expectations, and acnowledge any special delivery instruction. Then start driving. When you get there and its a live person drop off be friendly and hand over the order carefully.

I called customer support and they tried to tell me I couldn’t get at least the fee for showing up and they told me the same thing. I asked to speak with a supervisor and then they ended up giving me more than the $3. I think I ended up with $14 because it was a shopping order.

Yeah UberEats cancels the order and will not try to help you with the order. UberEats didn't send the order to the store system it was a $30 offer 5 miles and when I asked them to try to resend it to the store they canceled the order and wouldn't pay me anything for it saying I didn't drive any miles for the order.

I've talked a lot about surge. I agree when you JUST turn on Eats the surge disappears entirely. If I turn on rideshare surge appears; I even just saw an incentive today for +$15 per active hour on rideshare. They really need rideshare drivers or are maybe just targeting certain profiles to drive again.

$29 McDonald's offers are usually problematic. I knew you weren't going to collect on it. Uber doesn't show that much of the customer tip up front. If it was really a huge tip like that they would hide most of it. Show maybe $12 up front on the offer screen and then you find out later how much the hidden tip was.

It seems very hit and miss on those ghost offers with getting the $3 pay for your troubles. I deliver in Pittsburgh too and have had some orders like that McDonald's one where it was actually legit (and it was uber actually paying a crazy high fare), but then I've gotten burned too on them with the order already being picked up. It's a gamble!

They aren't fulfilling the contract they are literally committing contracting fraud but they're way out of it is to convince you to end the contract they will do it on your behalf

I drive in the Pittsburgh market mainly in the Washington mcmurry area to stay away from city traffic if you see offers like that at peak dinner hours there usually to good to be true but late at night after 11pm when I’m the only driver in my area I simply reject the offers multiple times until Uber pays me a crazy amount to deliver the food especially when a place is close to closing time then Uber will really pay a premium to get it delivered I’ve had many $30+ orders late nights that wasn’t even from tips just Uber pay and my ar never even gets above 10% lol

You can thank the drivers who do not hit complete delivery vecause they are dirty stacking. There was a "person" who walked out of McDonalds with an order, also was carrying a pizza and pizza puffs from Little Ceasers under his arm!!!!! He also had an Uber Eats Insulated backpack with who knows what inside. Did he get into a car. Oh yes he did, but he was not the driver. The car had No license plate. There were 3 other people in the car.

😮I wish ubereats would allow us to choose our mileage range. I'm in north Dallas area. I don't want to go to south Dallas, downtown Dallas, Ft Worth or Denton. But i keep getting offers to deliver 20+miles away.

It happen to me at kfc the order I had that happen to me on the restaurant said I was the 4th person to come in for that order and happened of spark I expected an order got to Walmart and it said order expected by another driver then after I had to cancel that order the order come back around

Found out something recently talking to UE support they no longer in my market give compensation if somebody else stole the order so In the end you just get screwed over I deal with it with most high end restaurants and the people tip well they need to do something about this I stronger don’t like DD but Atleast you get half pay if someone else took the order.

Yes one time recently as mentioned had that Jimmy John's that I got scammed out of. Support said something really odd for that one like offers can sometimes be dispatch with multiple carriers at one time
