I wish there were edition comparison videos like this for every game! Although, I suppose depending on how long it’s been between editions they might not have a copy of the first/older version.

I saw the new edition in my flgs a couple months ago having no idea there were plans for a new edition. Im glad it got picked up so more people can play it after tmg went under. But im sad they killed the unique vibe of the game. The cover looks like any other board game on the shelf now. I 100% looked up the game in the first place after seeing in the background of Rahdo's game wall. I love the rustic old west vibe the OG gave off.

The major difference is the new Vincent Dutrait cover is really nice! It's a shame the same art wasn't carried through other parts of the production

One thing the new board does better is how much space there is on the metal progress tracks to move tokens. The original was way too small and fiddly. It’s still not perfect but it’s better.

I will never understand why some people have a problem with the kind of cardstock that the original player boards are made with. They are durable, lie nice and flat, and take up less space. It's not cheap either. Thick cardstock is overkill imo and I feel it only makes sense for dual layer boards or ones with punched out areas in them for tokens etc. Those new resource tokens look nice though.

Yeahhhh, I don't think a mini-expansion and some differently shaped wooden pieces are enough for me to upgrade my first edition. Thanks for the comparison, Zee.

A shame the publishers didn't include the promos for everyone (just preorders), which went from VERY difficult to get on the TMG version to completely impossible in the new one. When the video transinioned from the old obard t othe new, I thought the camera lens was dirty... It's really washed away. I alsop prefer the round wooden pieces. Easier to see
