Gold West has been my #1 fav game for a few yearts now. I absolutely love it, specially the mancala. I was p+repared to double dip but this new edition does nothing better except for the water expansion. Promos unavailable in retail (only for preorders, so they're gone), colours less visible, inferior component quality.

Same. It's one of my top 10 games. I saw it at my flgs and was so prepared to grab the new copy and was so sad to see it was pretty much just a new cover art and everything else was exactly the same as the OG. The original's cover is one of my favorite aspects of the game.

If they changed something gameplay-wise, they were right to call it 2nd edition. So many games change things and don't change the name at all and it becomes so hard to know which version you're getting. And it's much better than adding a weird little subtitle
