I have a 1991 GL1500 that the reverse light stays on. I was hoping that this video would show where the micro-switch is located. Very helpful. I will lubricate and adjust the linkage while I am cleaning the switch assembly.

Shane: I have a 1988 Gold wing took it in for Carb sync and ended up with Carb overhaul. The dealership put it back together, and now the Cruise control won't turn on when the cruise lock button is depressed. I have the Shop Manual which was loaned to the mechanic as a help to troubleshoot the problem. When the ignition switch is turned on the relay clicks, the 2 idiot lights light then go for 3 sec's then goes off as they are designed. When the Cruise Lock On button is depressed the Cruise light won't come on. All I know is I can't use my cruise control which worked perfectly before the bike was taken in for Carb Sync/Overhaul and install of heated grips which required the side covers, inner fairing, etc to be removed. Now I'm told the wiring is old and I may have a short. This M/C has always been Garaged and everything works on it; so what did the mechanic do to cause the cruise control to stop functioning. Where was the wire probably pinched when he was putting the Wings Skin back on, or installing the heated grips. I am very mechanical, and if I can get continuity from the Lock switch I think it should work just fine.

Scott Burry I have a 2005 GL1800. The reverse on/off switch, reverse light and the reverse itself do not engage. There are no manual switches to throw. All the stuff is electronic

Did you ever fix that problem?? I have a 2003 Gl1800 I push reverse button while in neutral and nothing happens

ok now explain the adjustment on the reverse cables on a 2006 goldwing or how to replace the reverse actuator it works when i take the starter out but i put starter back in it dont work so eather the actuator worn out or its in a bind some how

i have a 88 gl1500 when engine is cold the netrual light comes on once engine warms up from a ride light will not light up until engine has cool down. any suggestions will help

ihave a 91 gl1500 two problems first problem is the dashboard started melting from behind the fuel gage i was riding one day and the bike made a noise like a speedo cable broke everything still works the cruise control and speedometer then i noticed the dashboard melt

1992 goldwing back lights not working when you put it in gear but when it is neutral they will come on

I have a 1998 wing and the reverse quit as well as the temp gauge, fuel gauge and the OD light stopped all at the same time. Is this a fuze problem, relay problem, or is it something else?

Should be a 15 amp fuse. Fusebox is under the left chrome cover under the seat. Good Luck.

Hello Myron I have the exact same problem as your 1998. mine is a 95. the reverse lever is suppose to reset all gauges and lights I have done it before. But this time its not doing it . Did you fix your problem? please help [e-mail]. Checked all relays, reverse switch fuses and know luck. luckily I have accessory lights that serve as running lights because my running lights don't work as well. Thank you Ian .
