So, just to be clear, the preferential ballot where the nominees with the fewest votes get re-distributed based on their rankings only applies to best picture where everybody gets to vote. The other categories are 'winner takes all' where there is no re-distribution of votes. The nominee with the most votes wins.

When Cher, Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Halle Berry, Brad Pitt, Whoopi Goldberg, etc. all have Oscars and Glenn Close does not, you know that it is complete BS!!

10 years ago it was 94% white 77% men so not much change but who in their right mind even cares! Not everything in life is fair, diversity should be about opportunities not awards.
