Gran Turismo 4 and Forza Motorsport 4 are both pure art for gearheads, not talking about driving or physics, but more about atmosphere, soundtrack, beautiful camera angles, the car list and all the texts with cars history, both intros are amazing (Jeremy Clarkson's speech on FM4 is beautiful), every gear piece and tuning has explanation for who wants to learn more, and much much more...

I was born in 1999 and I’m so fortunate I was able to experience this, Truly the golden age of racing games, back when it was made with love and passion by the developers and publishers instead of simply being made now for money making, loot boxes, micro transactions and game passes. I remember as a kid being super excited to hop onto my PS2 after school and on the weekends playing NFS underground, most wanted 2005, Juiced 1, NFS carbon and gran turismo 3. Literally the best time of my life and I never got bored. It ended up to the point where I would play too much and end up having my PlayStation being taken away from me at times 😅🥲. I’ll never forget the legendary 2000s gaming period. Such great memories. 😞😖 Nowadays with current games you don’t get that same excitement and soul and even if you get the slightest pinch of it, it only ends up getting blocked off by a paywall or a cool-down timer which just makes me wanna turn off the game. I just don’t get the same fun and feeling like I once did and just get bored and tired after playing an hour. The devs don’t care nowadays like they once did. I’m grateful we can all reflect back fondly on masterpieces like this that defined our childhood and friends.
