I soaked some with dried calendula petals in jojoba oil and just let it sit in a jar for a long time and forgot about it using no additional heat and ended up with this wonderful oil that just took the pain out of my hands and fingers after playing guitar when I hadn't for a while. It was amazing. I credited the calendula, but having made calendula ointment with coconut oil and olive oil it doesn't seem to have quite as dramatic a healing effect, so now I must acknowledge that something synergistic happened between the jojoba and the calendula.
