Golden Open Acrylics: The Answer for Oil Painters? (Trailer)

Probably the best way to understand these paints is to realize that they are not oil paints - but rather they are their own genre within the acrylic paint spectrum. Oil painters - if you are looking for something similar to oils you will probably be disappointed. Acrylic painters, if you are looking for something that expands on what you can do with acrylics -depending on your style and how you work - you may be pleasantly surprised.

I have the same acrylics….tried them and am not happy with the results.

Unfortunately for me, even water mixable oils give me a headache, so I have no choice but to use open acrylics

Oil paint is just pigment in salad oil.

I have reacted to the linseed oil in oil paint, so I am going to try Winsor and Newton which use safflower oil.
