Golden Sun Episode 21 Let's Chill & Play - ALTIN IN TROUBLE

Welcome back, adventurers! In this episode of Golden Sun on the Game Boy Advance (via the Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Player), we’ve made our way to the peaceful town of Xain, where the locals are practicing their Kung Fu skills. After some exploration, we head to the local Weapons and Armor Shop to upgrade our gear, but, unfortunately, we're a bit short on funds. No worries though! I grind off-camera to earn the necessary gold-and along the way, I level up our characters by 3 levels!
Now that we're geared up and stronger, we make our way to Altin. The villagers are in desperate need of help as Living Statues are flooding the town, spewing water and making it impossible for the citizens to drink. We can’t let these creatures ruin their homes, so it's off to the mines to deal with the threat once and for all!

21:00 those rocks (like the one near Kraden's house in Vale) can be moved with the "Lift" psynergy >^.^< you can learn lift by equiping an item in the same way you equip the catch beads. At this point you haven't got the item but you'll find it on your way through the mines.

TIP - I don't know if you noticed or it was pointed out yet but you can tell if the element of your attack is effective by the "!" in the message. >^.^< "." means ineffective , "!" means normal and "!!!" means extra effective.

reminder - some psynergy only become available when you mix elements >^.^< growth unlocks with earth and any other element.

@@softkitty2887 I’m going to start mixing some stuff and have to come back the that plant! Unfortunately I’m up to the desert now in my playthrough! Once I get through the desert can I go back out?

@@BubbaGaming5150 you can't go back the way you came but when you get to Kalay (it's just south of Vault the first town you visited after leaving Vale and it has a Djinni waiting for you there) you will find that they have repaired the bridge so you can go back at that point... there is no permanent point of no return but there are points where you have to move forward before the way back is open... after you take the ship ride you can find a cave that lets you go back to Kalay as well >^.~< EDIT - to be clear you could go back the way came until you reach the Mogall forest (lost woods).

i watched a video about poison in Golden Sun and it was about how you can use poison to break the game because it causes the icon on the world map to "jump" when you take damage >^.^< this lets you glitch through certain barriers and skip the puzzles.

Here is a copy and paste of the two messages I left about Djinn >^.^< gotta catch em all. Please let me know how much information you want, i thought about giving you a list of the names of all the djinn so you would have a kind of checklist... >^.^< there are seven of each elemental djinn in this game and 3 of them are random encounters and are easy to miss even if you look for them. World map locations to note - Vines (earth djinni) - northeast of Lamikin Desert exit on an island, Hail (water djinni) Northwest of Tolbi over two bridges in a forest area with a clearing in the middle, Corona (fire djinni) north of Xain on an Island. i can list the names and area of the rest if you want. Djinn are more important then levels in this game as they boost your stats significantly and the random ones you have to either know where to look or get lucky... if they run just keep walking around the area and they will eventually show up again Here's a list of the djinn by element and a brief location. EARTH - Flint, Granite in Kolima, Quartz in Mogell forest, Vine world map, Sap Vault, Ground Kalay Dock, Bane Crossbone Isle. WATER - Fizz with Mia, Sleet hidden in Mercury lighthouse, Mist in Xain, Spritz Altin mines, Hail world map, Tonic a gift received in Lumpa fortress, Dew Sullalla gate. FIRE - Forge in Goma cave, Fever in Imil, Corona world map, Scorch in Kalay, Ember in Tolbi, Flash Suhalla desert, Torch in Lalivero. WIND - Gust Bilibin, Breeze Kolima forest in Tret, Zephyr Fuchin Temple, Smog Lamakin desert, Kite Vale Cave, Squall Altmiller Caves, Luff Babi lighthouse

@@softkitty2887 I’m going to have to write this down in my notes! I’ve seen some Djinn just chillin and I had no idea how to get them!! lol! I know for a fact I did end up fighting one in a random encounter lol

@@BubbaGaming5150 yes >^.^< i wanted to make sure you knew about those at least because they are rare and you really have to know where to look in order to find them. i imagine that you would have miss that one if you hadn't been grinding. also when i play i never use the inns because i can heal using my psynergy for free and once you leave town psynergy refills automatically, i also don't buy normal gear (only artifacts) other than the adept cloths because they increase your PP which is good early game, but that's more of me being frugal.
