After hearing about Golden Sun from just about every corner of the internet for the last 10+ years, finally decided to try it out when they added it to Switch Online a few weeks ago. I seriously cannot put it down. This feels like a modern game with how innovative and unique it is. Seriously a breath of fresh air for me personally. This has to be one of the best video game battle themes I have EVER heard!!!!!!!! Pretty damn sure I'm gonna be a Golden Sun fan for life now!!!!!!

The two GBA games were easily the best original titles for the handheld system. I'm glad it has finally received some recognition in recent years, it was infuriating in the earlier days of the Internet when these games dropped how everyone was still raving about FF6/7 and Chrono trigger (don't get me wrong, great games) but overlooking these masterpieces which I put on the same tier of JRPG royalty.

Such great song composition! You can really feel hope and determination in the character's battle music, at 0:40 , you can sense a neutral shift in the battle. Is it good, is it bad? Then at 0:57 , you start to feel the back-and-forth trading of blows, and the unsure confidence of the fight. 1:04 you start to feel hope slipping away as the enemy whittles the hero down, until 1:12 , where he regains his stamina and continues fighting with hope of defeating his enemy, LOL! Some of the epic-ness of song writing was lost to this era, and there isn't always quite this range, but music will always speak louder than words. :)
