@@nathankenison I'm not great at business stuff, but maybe it was that Jim had the biggest for that week only? Idk if that could be a thing, I'm just playing devil's advocate...
@danielnewton18924 жыл бұрын
@Nate the Great It definitely changes throughout the show, cause at one point Dwight was top salesman in the company for “13 out of the last 12 months”, but you also have this example for Jim and in a later episode (not sure exactly which one, but it was after Sabre takes over), there’s a white board in the conference room with the list of all the salesmen’s sales, and Jim is on top with more than Dwight
@th3rasave4 жыл бұрын
@@danielnewton1892 yeah, I suppose that's more realistic than having a character being specifically designed to always be the top employee... Possibly the only realistic thing about this show XD
@nathankenison4 жыл бұрын
@@danielnewton1892 Eh I know what you mean and know the scene you're referring to, but I pretty much always consider those instances as mistakes/oversights by writers and the prop team, because there is so much evidence for Dwight being by far the best salesmen, and I don't really see a reason to believe that it would fluctuate that much. All shows have inconsistencies, and Dwight going from the best salesmen in all of Dunder Mifflin (the whole company, not just Scranton), to a relatively low number like the white board in the conference room shows, just doesn't make a lot of sense. I can easily see some hired prop hand writing down random numbers on the board, and assuming Jim has the highest because he is the most likable character. (Reminder: when Dwight got the top salesmen award in The Speech they mention Jim was somewhere around tenth, I don't see how Jim could've bridged that gap, even over a couple seasons. There is nothing to indicate that Dwight had a bad sales period between those times either, if anything it demonstrates him getting more and more successful as the series goes on). Sorry for the overly long comment.

Michael looks super dapper in that hat. Plus, I like that little backwards dance he does when depositing the tickets 😂

I’m so thankful for this channel. Not only are the clips entertaining but they bring me hours of much needed laughter during the pandemic.

I love how the cameraman just has to tilt his camera to the hat to let Michael know he’s not fooling anyone.

The best part of this episode is when David laughs at Dwight’s “that’s what she said” joke 😂

The point of a real Golden Ticket is to advertise it, which will increase sales for a short period of time offsetting the discount and gaining new clients. Putting them randomly in boxes with no advertising is just simply handing out discounts.
