Excellent production, true facts, and well spoken. However, there is a glaring omission --- June was the only guest actor to have a recurring role in "Have Gun Will Travel" !!! In the first season, she twice plays a frontier doctor (who makes house calls, even) and gets a bit chummy with Paladin in a couple of scenes. I had the pleasure of meeting Ms.Lockhart in the year 2000 (she was 75 at the time and looking good) . I asked her about working with Richard Boone (Paladin) and Guy Williams (who was Zorro before he was in "Lost In Space" with her). A coworker took a photo of the two of us, arm in arm, and she was tickling my waist with her hand while the shot was taken. Then I carried her suitcase downstairs to a waiting taxi. I was hoping she would invite me up to her room later, but all I got was a hug goodbye next to the cab. (Good enough, huh?)

June is active in promoting classical music issues....the L.A. Philharmonic orch, and the L.A. Lawyers' Orchestra. I ended up sitting next to her a few yrs. ago at an L.A. Philh. orchestra performance. I did a double take and asked if yes it was she. She was amazed I knew pretty much the complete Organ Symphony by Saen Saens....the program we were seeing...(I kept drumming along w/ my hands throughout the show.) I told her my name was from one of her former TV shows. A real nice lady.

And she was also on Petticoat Junction after Bea Benaderet who passed away from breast cancer in 1968. I think her part was a doctor who also managed the Shady Rest. Of course I will always remember her as June Martin on Lassie.

She appeared in nearly four dozen episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies or Petticoat Junction as Dr. Craig after the death of Bea Benaderet and had over forty other credits in the 20 years after the end of Lost In Space.
