Khan gets so much hate. The second he got rocked it was clear he should have adjusted his gameplan and moved around more but he chose to go toe to toe with a massive puncher. Khan didn’t go down but was rocked all over the place, a credit to him though, that body shot he dropped Maidana with sapped most of his strength. That’s actually what saved khan that night. If khan was trained by mayweather sr. Khan probaby would be undefeated. He was winning all his fights until he got knocked out. SR. would have taught defense, and punch selection. With his hand and foot speed. He would have box circles around a lot of 99% of the fighters. Just someone says something about his chin. They are heavy in that gym of building neck and upper back strength to help absorb punches.

I'm not a fan of referees stopping fights when a man is on his feet, i know why they do it however unless the fighter is stumbling all over the place i think that choice should be left to his corner. I'm talking in general rather than this particular stoppage and I understand that i will be regarded as being neaderthal but i think that society has become too risk adverse , they are prize fighters and it should come with significant risk. I know some will say that is the reason they are more cautious because of the risk however they chose that profession and at the top level they are very well rewarded and that's why i don't think that referees should be able to stop a fight if the boxer and his corner think he is fit to continue.
