Great video man. You’re by far my favorite KZbinr to watch. We do some diver hunts here. Always had issues with dropping Goldeneye like you did though. My buddy and I swear they are bulletproof 😂. Might have to switch shells. Which are you using? Nitro Steel? #?

Love this video. Diver duck hunting is a blast. If you ever find a pass between two lakes that divers are travelling, it's even better. No decoys, no boat, just plop down and wait for them to fly over!!

Nice video! Hunting diver is my favorite kind of duck hunting. If you don't want to buy diver deeks take your old decoys and paint them with black and white paint and your all set. You can get away with running to strings of 8-10 decoys a piece and then a raft of about a dozen.

Find some cheap decoys and spray paint them black and white. I run those and g&h bluebills for divers. Works like a charm, I have no need to get avians or dakotas like puddlers.

Just a suggestion but I think you should carry a fishing rod that you’re comfortable with casting a long ways so you don’t have to get the boat everytime a duck lands a little ways out. It’s worked for me lol

I mostly diver hunt and divers is more of a numbers game for spread size then anything else so what works really well actually is using bleach jugs or milk jugs painted black and white on the long lines with a few diver decoys added in the mix. its a good way to bump up your spread numbers without spending thousands of dollars.

or take your old crusty decoys or any cheap ones you find for sale and give em a basic black and white paint job and that does the trick too, if you do decide to make yourself a diver spread i do recommend foam filling the decoys due to how low and fast those divers fly to the water
