Just some help to those that have this unit or want one. I have had no issues with this unit in the 6 months owning one. They do have a nasty smell for about 1 month, so keep that in mind, but it smell goes away. The one flaw that happens with these units is brown outs, some not all brown outs can cause this unit to not switch over. Usually this seems to happen with Brownouts in quick secession or small blackout that last 1 second and then another right after hits again. These are the only instances I have had this unit not work as described. I think what happens is the software gets confused with such a low drop yet not fully disconnected, I have no idea if ALL UPS do this under these circumstances but this unit does. But every actual power outage or breaker trip and the unit does what it says. I really recommend this unit for the average PC user.

Thanks for that information.

That's a very neat and impressive-looking UPS you have. It seems to have all the essential features one could need. However, in addition to the mute button, it would be great if it also included a communication port, similar to those found in popular UPS models like CyberPower or APC. This port would allow for automatic shutdown of a PC or NAS in case of low battery and enable remote monitoring of the UPS status.

Yes, the communication port is a nice feature to have. With every additional feature, I'm guessing the price will go up. Thanks for commenting!

An expansion port for another battery pack would be nice too. They could re-work one of their other batteries or design a matching enclosure with a 24v / 50Ah battery for a nice jump in runtime.

@proficient_prepper Can you please test the unit and reply here with the results for when the unit runs on battery, fully exhausts itself (like an all day power outage), and when power is restored by the power company does the unit AUTOMATICALLY turn on. There's nothing more frustrating than being on vacation for a week, realizing your UPS doesn't auto-turn-on and you are down for a week instead of just a day if you had not had a UPS at all.

will it clean bad power coming into the house? like if you are on Generator power that isn't inverter power? Wonder if you can hack it to trigger a pc shutdown by using an esp32 chip or something and monitoring the battery draw or no to nc via some pcb port.

When its running on battery power, it was cleaner power than my grid coming into the house. However, when the grid power is on, its just passing through the power coming into your house. So it won't clean it up.

@@proficientprepper ok thanks, i was hoping i could use this as a bridge between when i'm running on generator which has dirty power and my pc but sounds like i need another solution. Still bought one though as i like the backup with lipo

I was looking at this UPS on amazon and it seems they just put out a new version that addresses the two major complaints I saw in the reviews: a single press of the power button will mute the alarm and the fan is quieter when charging, which was the other major complaint. New version is about $30 more than the old one. Still no comms/management which is a bummer.

Yes, this UPS does not have all the features as some. But its been working just fine since I did this video. No real power outages yet though. Other than my testing.
