I just love how he takes off the diving suit to reveal his tuxedo underneath.

Connery looks phenomenal in the opening sequence as Bond; he was in fighting shape and he wore tuxedos and dinner jackets like no one else. He had also settled into the Bond role. Ian Fleming was on set during the filming of Goldfinger, however, he didn't live to attend the premier or to see the international success of the film.

Loved this movie. Sean was the original and the best Bond I believe. Thought all the other Bonds except Dalton, and Lasenby were ok. Really sad to see a recent pic of Sean at the Miami airport just showing he's a mere mortal after all in his 80's. But I still appreciate all he gave us during his prime youthful, productive years.

Really that's interesting, the fight was really dry, slow moving and a little dull but that's only because we had a terrible director named Guy Hamilton. If we had Terence Young who did Dr no and From Russia With Love the fight would have been right and proper.

I am a big magnum p.i fan and every time i watch tom selleck in his prime i always liked his presence and thought he would make a great james bond .... I think your right about the asthetics of bonds physicality .... The one liner i have a slight inferiority complex regarding the walther pp bond carries is a perfect example of the james bond idealism as a man ... I feel inferior to bond as a man ... I think every man feels inferior to bond which is why we like live vicariuosly through the james bond world .... I'm very surprised that you didn't like timothy dalton as bond ... Dalton to me was always how i pictured bond to be and i think license to kill is one of my all time favourite bond outings ... Nobody did romantic purposeful driven crazy quite like dalton ... Licence to kill .... Never say never again .. And on her majestys secret service are my vavourite bond films dalton ... Connery ... Moore .... Lazenby .... Thats my favourites list ...
